I don't see why everyone thinks Mega Man isn't in the game. Sure, they deconfirmed Mega Man X, but that doesn't mean the original or perhaps the one from battle network, or Starforce, or the ZX games won't make an appearance.

I'm just saying it's a bit early to assume a character with almost 8 different forms isn't going to be in the game at all because of the deconfirmation of one of the forms.

It's not about relevance in continuity, it's about popularity, at least for Marvel. Marvel's trying to put their most popular characters into the game, and they've been doing that except, IMO, for Dormammu and Shuma Gorath (I think their relevance lies in the history of the game).

hmmm it would make more sense too if doc strange be in the game since he really the main guy that fights dormammu and shuma gorath more than anyone in marvel. they are pretty much his rivals .  i think he will somehow be part of the game but not as a playbale character.

i can't imagine megaman not making the roster. he is a gaming icon and one of capcom's mascots like ryu. one of the megamans has to make it in, whether it be the classic megaman that was in mvc1 and 2, rock volnutt, megaman exe, or geostellar(i'm hoping its not this one). it would be really dumb if zero takes his place bcause they could have easily left tron bon out. there's no way she could be more popular to the fans than he is

I would argue to say that Dormammu and Shuma-Gorath have been more relevent recently then Doctor Strange himself.

The Shuma-Gorath we see in the games, is what I like to think of as more of an avatar of the true form of Shuma-Gorath.
Recently in comics, we got to see more of Shuma-Gorath's true physical form.


Also Dormammu was recently in that super hero squad cartoon, and that dr strange animated movie, and in the 90's he had more air time then Dr. Strange did on SpiderMan's cartoon.

I played MVC2 has it not long ago, and it is true that Cable is cool and funny to play
there may be a chance to a DLC  (like my Shuma-Gorath, my fav Marvel in MvC2, CHAOS DIMENSION)

I agree with you Fou. I think cable could be a DLC as well.  There are so many possibilities with this game , so who knows how many characters they will add for DLC. I am betting close to 15 to maybe 20 DLC for the entire roster. ( could always add more ya know, Its like a super duper 3d 2d hyper active MUGEN) . I guessing that maybe at some point they are really gonna turn to fand for possible future DLC characters and have some kind of polling in the mags and on their sites ( just have to watch certain folks rigging votes and spiking the ballots meters... yall kknow people will cheat just to get who they want in, ) so with that said i wonder who is the next draft to dlc?

Well im just hoping the Jill Version they have in the game is like the super soldier one that you fight against on RE 5. I guess she will be Weskers match in the game

wolverine got his (new) X force partner with em X-23 based on the comics (along with colors n alt costume)

yeh tell me about it. Good ol CTF crowd would have made good use of it! cuz i remember opening day of SF4 it was flooded in there and i was right in the mix for a good 2 hours

I got to play 3 matches at NorCal regionals.
Dante is REALLY good. I used Dante, Super Skrull, and Wolverine. I can't wait to use Zero.
