My prediction for MVC3? It will get pushed back to march or april. every month after he first 2 dlc characters are available they will release 2 characters via dlc a month ttill either the entire real roster is full or till holiday christmas 2011. thise game is gonna be huuuuuge. Once they release the game and its start up roster, like said in a previous reply somewhere , they are gonna bring back fan favs through dlc. i am bettin some money this is whats gonna happen. they LETING leaked lil lists out and got the real list in a fort knox style heavily armed guard vault somwhere in the himalayas.

^From what I've heard Capcom alts are more like palletes and Marvel's are designed as costumes. 

Too bad no costumes for Capcom chars. Fortunately, Marvel is lucky for designed costumes. I might look forward to costumes.

And Spider-Mew shows us how it's done. Personally, I believe that Capcom is releasing DLC at all to keep people invested in this game from an online standpoint. A lot of online games just stop being played within a few months for the most part. So, this could be Capcom's counter to such a thing, I.E: Keep releasing content to keep the fans interested.

i can agree with that man, and i can agree with what spidermew says as well. the point others are making tho is why reveal dlc characters that could be just swapped into the game. but its who the characters are i figure. Everyone knows what dlc does for games, thats more or less common knowledge...unless you dont know that then ehhh .... . Basically releasing info early like that (as far dlc goes we already knew it was comin), can give a mixed feeling to fans as well as  its just who they picked to show first out the gate.  i would be cool with Jill, axe shuma for a later dlc and gimmie someone else sayyyyy X gen Husk or heck The Blob or Juggernaut. thats my opinion. Capcom still needs some more beefy up characters. Fans are def interested  from just vid screens and lil fake and realish rosters floating around, but casting early dlc... one character that could be errr scratched out or later on down the line added?  Oh well still gonna buy it no matter what.

im pretty happy with the characters included in the disc already as ill be playing with capcom side mostly which is much smaller than the marvel universe but if something REALLY good (vergil, gouki or spawn good) is relased ill surely buy it, im also willing to pay for costumes but im not sure if mvc goes that way.

BUT this does not mean im that big fan of dlc, some companies are somewhat fair with it like the RDR dudes but some like in Disgaea 3 just abuse it. Im also a little biased as sony doesnt give a crap about mexico so DLC becomes a pain to obtain when its supposed to be more comfortable than retail.

Dudes, Spawn isn't a Marvel character. He's published by Image. And I think Vergil has been officially deconfirmed. Not sure.

This topic has been a bit hard to follow for me, it moves so fast and ive not had allot of good free time.
         So i dont know if anyone else brought this up.


I read someplace earlyer in here that there are not going to be any orginal characters like the ones from mvc2.
And we heard that MVC3 is going to come out Febuary 15th i think it was.

Sounds pritty intresting.
Then I heard a major bad guy is making his way back to the Marvel Universe
and he's coming back Febuary.  Same month as MVC3. So I was thinking, this guy is probably going to be the game's final boss, or possably a secret boss, but it would make sence for him to be the final boss of MVC 3, when their just now announcing his return to comics.

The first marvel vs capcom game happend arround the time of the orignal Onslaught Saga, thats why he was the head boss. This is why I think, Onslaught will be the boss of mvc3.

I know Spawn is with Image, i got and read the comics and da movie. long time fan of Spawn. As far as saying about him being in the game... yeah right, i know that will never happen but i was only sayin so in retrospect to the post before mines. thats all.

I imagine that hackers would make Spawn Costumes for SpiderMan. It will be like the very early issues of Span, from when Todd came off his run on SpiderMan over at Marvel.
They could probably turn the webs into chains also!
That would be nifty, .
