After that, I rarely requested, and came to post in GD, and comment on other peoples W.I.P's, Releases, etc.
Then I began a W.I.P! MvC2 Ryu. (Never finished him =O) However I still wanted to contribute so I began to make stage edits.
Afterwards I started Paper Mario with N64 sprites.
I actually am pretty surprised I started out in the request section, worked my way up, releasing stages, worked on my wip, became a contributor, then released my Paper Mario.
(3 months later)
Then I became a mod! :thumbsup:

1. some1 was doing the pallettes it was a person with a girl char as the avi and she gave me some tips and help when i didn't know squat about mugen it was when the bg was red with gray bg so i liked this site ever since so i stuck with it
2. since the 2 new sites/ so called new forum i liked it cause their's not as much posting so not that much confusion as infantry. which i don't go to anymore cause they slander other sites and act all high and mighty

I was not going to have getting characters be the only reason to join a forum, so I also went around and posted, trying to get a feel of how this place worked.
I also joined Infantry at the same time as Infinity, so I could technically say that I'm from both Infantry and Infinity. I just like this place more.

The only bad thing for me in this forum is that I got bad luck in my quest to learn how to create chars, but when I have time in my holidays (After Christmas) I'll strike back.

i crossed the net from page to page, downloading chars and one day i found infinity and his "character packs"..damn!!! "this is heaven" i thought.
then i went into the forum, obviously, to the rekest section..man, i got so many chars...
after a time i started helping people in the requests. then i was a paletter!! well not very productive..i did a palette for Andy bogard to look cvs alike..he
then after see so many edited chars n sprites i said "lets give it a shot".
my first work was a edited SFF to TMNT raph so he looks like more as the TV one.
then, after rebirths and rebirths (im here since the 2th) im still here..now creating.
i have to say: im registered in several forums: MI, MLA, ML,MG,FDZ, and so others but i barely post. only infinity has that atmosphere that wrap me!.
i have larn a bunch and i owe that in tha most part to this forum.

I've shared this story before but here goes. I was a member of gaming force, only for mugen of course, and they had a request thread. They didn't like that people were requesting out of control so they closed the thread. I was like WTF. I even remember a few members here who belonged too. So while searching around for mugen stuff I read a piece by a guy saying how Infinity helped him get rare chars. I was looking around for mouser's hanzo and couldn't find him anywhere, his site was down at the time, so I tried requesting on a different site and got no help. I remembered what the guy said and went back to his site and got linked to an older version of Infinity. I requested and nothing ???. Thank God some old members went back to check on the site because I was told trading was not allowed only sharing and given the link to the new site. I was like 8) and went to the site and got my request in one day. After that I requested a bit and even checked out the general discussion section. I started posting their cause the people are so cool :thumbsup:. Needless to say I was hooked!!!

Honestly, i just joined, and the reason why is because of an Arthur wip i saw on youtube. Ive been lurking around for about 20 minutes, and im thinking this might be a forum to actually "join" :O*D^^^^ also known as , i was a leecher XD

Mugen guild is far too pretentious, and mugen infantry... well, its not bad, but on the other hand, its not very friendly to anyone thats just coming into the mugen family. This board also seems very active, and i like that. I dont have much free internet time, and i dont want to be a regular to something i cant enjoy.

i was under the name * dshiznetz*( this was during last year when weregurumon was about to be released)
so i chilled in the forum.. made some sigs and avys.. during the time there was an ipod avy era.. everyone had there fav character with an ipod on it. lol.. then after that it was the yugioh card era where ppl made yugioh cards with there names on it.
i stoped visiting the forum when i got bored of mugen.. and when i came back a few months laster the forum had like this bug, where you couldnt post and stuff. it was weird.. cuz there were like 50 ppl on and no new anything.
then i just stoped visiting completely.. then a couple weeks ago i visited the forum.. i had to re register tho..

When did I join Infinity, it was earlier this year when I prematurely released both of my Hiryus due to some personal issues I was experiencing in real life which resulted in me losing my belongings. Both of my computers as well.
Why did I join Infinity, at first due to Infinity's past, I wasn't to sure, then a friend told me to check them out since he knows the situation and my standing with other mugen forums that,
1. I can't Stand
2. full of idiots and hyprocrites
3. Staff with huge egos and on a continuous power trip and want to play a role in every mugen based community -_-'
4. ROFL @ M.I.
5. Mugenguild went to poop
6. I despise people that belittles and think they are better than you.
Thats was the reason why I started my own personal mugen community then after the recommendation from a friend, I joined here after the third rebirth. The admins made me feel welcomed along with the users who knew or heard of me and after that I quickly noticed that infinity changed and are now one of the most active and legit mugen communities and I am happy to be a member here.
despite the madness and drama from other sites Infinity still gets, (we all know one person who stills bee-otch about infinity just to feel important), Let it be known, I support this site to the fullest and that person using a proxy just to read up on my posts can take this post and ............ you know the rest.

I was in Infinity's 3rd Rebirth and in here because of some horrible people outside of the community who thought otherwise. Mugen's still new for me, but after settling down and getting used to it for a while, I kind of have an idea on how this engine works. But, I'm no Programmer, most of the characters I've seen in the Arcades I can deal with, but with others like Guilty Gear and Melty Blood, that's going to take time to get used to. So to answer your question, I've got a lot of friends here and that's something I can never lose.

yea ive noticed that everyone here is cool and thats why i stayed. u have a really good thing going here with this forum like I said befor this is still by far the best forum ive seen. the administrators and higher ups in the forum actually seem to value other peoples opinions even if they just joined. As far as im conserned infinity is the best period. Thanks guys for making such a good forum :)

Wow....I was expecting the bulk of the creators would be an ol' head like me who been there in the beginning, but the next generation has gave us the frsh breath of air that capcom ,snk,sammy,etc has not wanted to do. But I made a lot of friends and at least one enemy here. But we all family here. I see a lot of other places that don't hold it down like infinty does. Everyone helps out and pitches in here in every shape and form. I never got banned or warned for asking a question here. Nor has anyone that's new here get called every bad word under the sun. It's all about having fun and a lot of people lost site of that 'cept here.....

When I first saw Superman and the Dragonball vs StreetFighter, I lost my mind! :o This was like in 2004. But my peoples and I didn't know a thing about mugen in NYC at that time. It's because I'm fascinated with the EoH Project and getting the cool-styled characters that I can't find anywhere else. I like to see the progress of the new characters too. All of you did a great job on this project and I'm looking forward into seeing more. :)
If you want to see more check out the MVC EOH topic.Acey wants ideas for tag teaming and story and such for the next release as well as what characters should be in the next release.

After taking a 7 months break from mugen due to personal reasons i finally got back into creating and playing again and saw the beta for MvC EoH had been released, that was the main reason for joining up, but i have to say, the short time ive been here, this deffo seems to be the friendliest Mugen board ive been on and im intending to stay around a long time too! Plus the make a story thread is too damn addictive lol!^^(PM)^
You pointed exactly two of the reasons to stay in here...
I first joined to search for some characters and mostly to get a hold of what mugen was after i was introduced by a friend of mine
By the time i got here,the unrequestables were still up and EOH was still as nice project to look fwd too...
Now Eoh is released,as well as many of its chars and i made it to news reporter :)
This place being friendly and with staff that´s honest to you,it´s hard to stay away from here...
Besides,all of us can make a topic of many diff subjects,like videogames,anime,movies and tv,etc,without problem...

I believed in a place where you could be a noob and ask stupid noob questions and people wouldn't be swift to drop the hammer on you, but politely inform you of your noobness and stop to help.
I believed in Marvel vs Capcom: Eternity of Heroes by being able to see the constant progress and the work everyone was putting into it.
I believed that even though I couldn't code or sprite (and still can't), I might be able to give a suggestion or two that would be taken into consideration, instead of simply being blown off.
And to this day, I have yet to be proven wrong. :w00t:

But after staying here and checking out the forum I soon realized that this was a really great place with a lot of dedicated and skilled enthusiasts.
I don’t really contribute much except for the occasional char/stage request upload, but I really enjoy this community and I consider it to be one of the best around.

Actually I was originally with Mugen-Infantry from the begining of May '07, when I was developing some of my unreleased creations; (Lost Sayajin W.I.P
Needlessly to say, during that downtime, a Myspace friend from a Mugen Group suggested for me to join, if I was really serious about creating. He noted I could learn a thing of two by just merely lurking around and that people here tend to be more outspoken then more other forums. He was 100% correct. Without a doubt some of the best creators and best friendships reside here.
If I remember correctly, this is around the time I originally started making my trasition from merely playing to actually creating.

It was driving me nuts because I really wanted to remember who referred me here but I couldn't remember his myspace screenname until just the other day but Infinity Member "Cytem" was my main referrance to join Infinity back in October 07.

Found you guys probably 'bout the beginning of last year when first getting into mugen. After checking out other forums, imo Infinity is by far the best, and probably the only one I'll post in. Other places seem waaaay to negative for me with their criticism's. It's like, I understand the need to point out stuff overlooked by creators, but some of the crap I've seen written about certain creators/chars is beyond me. I joined cause honestly i was gonna leech characters and leave but then everyone ive spoken to so far is really cool, helpful and some have even made me laugh, really hard. I used to be really into MUGEN back in 98'. I lost pretty much all of it, since I had to clear HD space at the time, and the CD burner made a bad disk.
In 2004 I got back into it, but couldn't get it to work and gave up on it. The bug bit me again recently, and withg the 2006 screen pack from this site (and a LOT of characters from here too) I've managed to get myself back into it again, and this time it works for me.
I joined primarily to say thank you to Infinity Mugen Team for being awesome for all of this, and to better keep up with everything. So that is pretty much that! :)

I had changed 3 times my screenpack and could get more than 200 chars ,
I was getting frustrated of dead link on Mugen infantry , Mugenation ,
Mugen Fury and Street Mugen so I searched a place
to get Marvel and capcom characters too...
You know there were so cheap characters in those time
more cheap than good characters .
I've seen that Infinity Mugen Team was working on Marvel and Capcom characters ,
some never made before and some regular with a new style !
So I joined and I don't regret it :
The members and the team are really some good guys ,
they help , they provides good chars , make avatars and sign for your profile ,

I stumbled upon Mugen when I first saw the SFvsMK video a long time ago and in the credits Proxicide gave credit to "Mugen" so I wondered what the engine was so why not <_<|google| it so I did and I came across this Site as "50sunshine" then on a rebirth I was "SonicX" then another rebirth (actually a few, lol) came along and someone else took my name :(
Then I had to go back into the Army so I made my own site called "SonicX & Team Spoiler" the best team anyone could ask for then yea I am here now as "DemonX"

It was around the the time Infinity was more of a warehouse forum, I remember joining this place just to download some "rare" characters (finding out about it from a naruto forums), after getting some characters, I really had no intention of sticking around but of the other places out there, I found this place to be the most helpful and nicest community at the time so I stuck around.

We got a general standard around here, if you make the sprites, we'll code it for you. But it seems you're interested in diving into the code yourself. I am very willing to pass on any knowledge I have to anyone willing to learn. I know there are many around here who feal the same. Just ask questions on the forum so that everyone can follow the discussion (group learning process) and you'll see it will come together faster than you ever expected, depending on your own drive.

I use the Blue sp which means that this site played a big role to the image of my roster and I thank the guys a lot!!
Also I signed in because in forums you have a say or u can shoot ideas on how a char can be made. As a result u can help in the improvement of a char and help creators when they are out of ideas!!

Then CVG started restructuring to CrusaderCast, and somehow in the shuffle I was banned from the forums, despite never having any conflicts with anyone and nothing to indicate my behavior was unacceptable. It was probably just a glitch, but I drove me to start going here. Then I realized this community fit my stylings better, anyways, especially with characters made as well as I mentioned. And considering the other forums can go down so frequently and Infinity doesn't tend to do so, it's easy to stay here.
Eventually I do want to make my own characters and release them here, but time and resources could limit me. But if I do, I'm sure I would be more on the spriting end of things than coding. However, with the way I want to do sprites (no editing pre-existing ones, but instead trying to make characters be in the art style in which they first appeared, such as a Superman who looks like he was drawn by Joe Shuster or a Hellboy who looks like he was drawn by Mike Mignola, for two examples of characters I probably won't do but are good indicators) means my method may be unfeasible ultimately (but would fit how I like to see MUGEN and would prefer crossover fighting games be in general--I like seeing the digitized photos of Mortal Kombat take on the stylized drawings of Street Fighter; they make it feel like a true crossover of different universes has happened). Not to mention, I wouldn't be comfortable asking somebody to take time out of their own life to code for me. But we'll see if I ever create anything, anyways.
