Oh yeah! I was wondering how ole brainiac is going. Not too well I see lol. Spriting sharp as always. Just a little suggestion: maybe the right corner of the cape should cover Supes right leg. Also I think the cape when he is breaking Brainiac should not be seen from a side angle, but a bit more frontal to go with Supes upper body. Just a thought. Brilliant job anyways. Can't wait to have this piece of art in my roster.

Yeah I see what you mean. It is from his stance but the reason it was like that was because I was planning to have 2 different versions of him (with/without the cape). But I later learned that there are several reasons why that wouldnt work. So there are still sprites that have the cape behind him because of that.

Initially, I was going to coding it. Then he decides to change the coder and then changed it again to Electro.
I know Electro will make a good job :)
I just have one feedback: at 2:00, you could give more movement to the target. Right now, he uses the same frame when goes upward and downward. You can use the frames 5030,0 to 5030,20, so it will looks more natural.

Good job you two. In some frames, I think his hands are too big, no?

Yeah "O" was originally the coder for him but as what happens to us all my circumstances changed. But ELECTRO came highly recommended by some spriters.
Good job you two. In some frames, I think his hands are too big, no?
Let me know whihc you think "O" and I'll take another look at it.

The heat vision effect is going to change, and I believe that the sound will as well. He's basically just getting the basics down so far. I'll let him break it all down though.

There's definitely a lot of love for Superman lately, especially sense Rebirth. And this is no exception. Progress on him looks great, nice job to all three of you guys on the work.

Like Jmaxx said, some of the FX & sounds are just place holders while I code the moves. I don't really see a need to make the FX until Supes moveset finalized. On Superman's heat vision i'm trying to downplay his heat vision attack as much as possible because I don't want Superman feeling like Cyclops. So I made his heat vision slow on recovery & is best used at a distance for risk/reward trade off. He also will not be blasting upwards with it while standing & will not fire it down or up while in the air. I'll have other attacks that move in those directions.

Update on the Super that was shown. The hyper will now feature a range of items and backdrops. For example knocking opponent into space might spawn a space shuttle or knocking someone into the sky might produce a city or snowy mountain scape etc.. also a range of weather has been implemeted to show extra cloudy or stormy weather etc... This  will help the super not become stale on repeat viewings.

I have enough moves coded that I can finally show some fighting action. The AI is still ruff so don't mind that. New moves are special = Solar Flare & hyper = Meteor Smasher.

this is being the best superman i has seen so far  @-)
i just think his cape is weird at stance animation, since the lower left part of cape is in back of his legs when i think it would be better in front of it. i liked very much his new moves  ^^(PM)^

nicely done guys.. love the moves so far. the hyper in the sky can use more speed, I think if you speed it more, it would look more dynamic and feel more natural like he is really flying. but that's just me.. this superman does feels different from others which is a great thing. congratz.

OK guys I've been working on this one for about a week now. It's not entirely finished but you can see where I'm going with it:

I'm thinking of adding more frames to Doomsday. Maybe even a different attack for Superman. I and going to add more frames to Superman as he turns around after the punch.

Let me know what you guys think.
