You continuing to make unexpected changes, that increase overall quality :thumbsup: I'ts more lively now, for sure :) Though I'd suggest a little fine-tuning of background movement - you can reduce speed of it so it's more in-line with weather, current speed would be better for stormy weather :-??
As for Hyper input - was hard a bit at beginning, but got used to it, now as it's simplified - that training went to waste \-/o lol But seriously - most important is if it's still accident input prone, seems prone enough :cool

@ExeLord yeah I know. I am still testing the velocity - its a bit too fast, but if I reduce the velocity too much, it gets a little choppy :(

I almost changed the Hyper input to a dedicated button, but I thought it would be too easy.

Something I wanted to make since long time on Avengers United Battle Force: to clean the game HUD a bit. Now the bosses lifebar will stay at the top, while the NPCs will have custom lifebars attached to them.


Also, now Vision has a custom time bar, to show how much time he will be invincible during his hyper move, finally.

A new helper was added to the game - Talisman

She makes both players invincible for a short time.

Working on a video showing all costumes from the game (~95% comes from comics).
By the way, Quicksilver received a new costume too.


This is one of the reasons this project takes so long - the amount of research we have to do is damn high.
It was a pain to remember all the bases and the costumes names.


Ive learn a LOT while doing this game - both from OpenBOR coding (and C in general) and from the Marvel universe.
I have a serious problem with being addicted to details - on the one hand, it makes the job rich; But, on the other hand, it often makes the job boring.

So any increase in difficulty (and time consuming) needs to be very well calculated.

Nice look at the process of making palettes. I've only recently learned how to start using smart palettes (not for coding) and yeah, it's a lot of work tbh.

Finally is here: the video showing the first part of all costumes from all characters from the game Avengers United Battle Force.


From the beginning, we were concerned with trying to be as faithful as possible to the comics, giving each character uniforms that he / she has worn in some story over the years. About 95% of the uniforms came from the comics.

Another concern was trying to bring uniforms that were very different from each other. And thanks to JHFER's incredible work with smartpals, that was possible.

Thanks to everyone who collaborates with this project!

This is what happens when Vision is having a bad day: New Grabspecial


Some old chars are receiving new updates, like Hawkeye - Net Arrow was removed (since it and freeze arrow did almost the same thing) and replaced by Seismic Arrow - an AoA, which causes damage only when hitting the ground

As I remember - Web Arrow was used not only in changeable ammunition, but also as "Charge Arrow" (hold A button and after 3 sec. release). It can stay there, though wouldn't mind some indication of charging. Seismic Arrow indeed is a better choice enriching gameplay :thumbsup:

Ladies and Gentlemen, here is QuickSilver updates preview


And here we have Quicksilver new version gameplay, recorded by Psykai - who nailed it, again.

He was the first character programmed for this game and, when compared to the others, I always thought he was a little out of place.

What's new:
- I added a juggle checking system in the game to avoid infinite combos (each attack costs a certain amount of points). Stronger characters make fewer combos, while weaker characters make more combos - and characters who specialize in hand-to-hand combat make even bigger combos near walls and screen boundaries. And Quicksilver is a combos machine.

- He is even faster than the last version released, moving and reacting more quickly.

- Thanks to his accelerated metabolism, he recovers MP more quickly and can perform specials even when poisoned (in the game, when a character is poisoned, besides gradually losing his life, he is unable to use specials). MAYBE I make him immune to poison.

- New animations (idle, combo ender, helper call, etc.).

- New attack jumping 2, which causes him to descend quickly in a straight line and which causes OTG damage (hits enemies on the ground)

- New Freespecial 1 - (QCF + A) Quick Slide. It has 2 follow-ups with the same command.

- New Freeespecial2 - (D, U + A) Tornado Lariat. It works differently from the previous version, like a shoryuken. The combo happens only if the first hit hits. Can be connected from Freespecial1.

- New Hyper - (D, U + S) Personal Hurricane. Despite being visually interesting, the old movement failed a lot and still left it very open in scenarios with traps.

With this update, I must have finished updating the old characters and now I will focus on finishing the missing scenarios to finally release an update.

After the update is released, I will rest from this project and focus on another project, which for now is secret.
But I can't wait to reveal this publicly, because the fans will go crazy ;)

Another preview with several new features:

Beast:
- New pitch movements, which can be linked in combos
- New riseattack (sprite by RamzaNeko)
- New robot, with new attacks and super armor
- Now you can detonate the robot, causing great area damage

Hydra:
- New, bigger elevator, which is the same as in the new previous scenario (which may not be in the next update).
- Metal doors, which need to be broken to proceed and which trigger an alarm, which calls for more enemies.
- One more layer for the stage
- The final door only opens after all enemies have been defeated
- New guest: Zemo, who will be faced in a future scenario

ETC
- New special slash attack fx
- Riseattacks now has a custom FX

Zemo was supposed to appear like this since the day I started this game and finally added :)

Long time no see.

Poll Winners - New playable characters - Avengers United Battle Force
Here is the result of the survey on what should be the next characters to be added to the next demo: Colossus and Nightcrawler!


Nightcrawler was unbeatable from the start, winning very freely from all options. Our steel friend fought a fierce battle against the Iron Fist, but ended up winning.

In this video, I (P1) play with my son (P2) in the scenario where you face the Black Knight, who is being mentally controlled by Enchantress.

I apologize for the absence, but I have focused on another project that brings me more benefits, but I haven't forgotten this one ;)
