Sorry for the double post, but I've finally figured how to make the animations play the correct way :)
I'll edit all my previous messages replacing the old and sloppy animations with the smoother new ones.
some what are you using to create you animations?

I'm still using photoshop  :thumbsup:

Before now I was using a frame delay of 0,0 for some frames, I watched the animation on photoshop and it was ok, but after I saved it using the option "save for web and devices", the animation looked kinda sloppy, using a minimum frame rate of 0,1. I've tried to change the frame delay of that frames from 0,0 to 0,03, now it works properly  :w00t:

This evening I'll leave for the holidays. This time i will take my computer with me, but I won't have internet there, so I'll continue the work but I will connect only from my mobile phone (I can post comments and watch topics, but I don't know how to upload images on imageshack with the phone and then post them in the topic :( ) and I won't post other sprites (maybe sometimes I can use the internet connection of some friend and post some). Plus, I must study for the september exam session, so I'll have to slow down my work again  :(

I'll post a little animation I made just for fun, maybe it could be a victory pose  :)

Congrads I gave up on animating is photo shop as it seemed to different from other apps i used in the past. I like the rocket cup. Victory is probably very fitting indeed. As for work slowing due to RL, its cool. Thats why this is a hobby, so we can come and go as we please. Good luck on your exams :)

I'm back and I've done some "holidays homework":

-I've worked on the timing of the animation of his sumo stomp. It should be more like this:

-I've worked on two basic throws. One is that suggested by Magma Dragoon MK-II

- I've started to think about his power set. Here his (maybe temporary) power set change animation based on a victory pose i made some time ago:



I'm finding a lot of difficulties 'cause i want Hard Man to have a more "rustic" and physical style (no energy projectiles, no weapons with modern appearence - example: no crash bomber, yes hyper bomb -, no elemental weapons - exeption for ground based weapons like super arm -, no time stopper weapons) and this is a big, but IMHO necessary limitation.

For now, this is his (incomplete) power set:
 - Super Arm
 - Charge Kick
 - Knight Crusher (I'm not sure about this)
 - Hyper Bomb (same as Knight Crusher)
 - ???
 - ???

Hard Knuckle is not included in the power set. It's his signature move, so he should be able to use it whenever the player wants to, with no need to equip it first.

I've made animations for the first two:

I'm not sure about calling it "Charge Kick". It's the power Megaman obtain from Charge Man, but he does it sliding. I wanted Hard Man to do it in a personal way, but it's obviously not a kick, so I don't know if it should be ok to call it "Kick".

Only a question about the power set: is it ok to invent some new weapons? I have an idea...

Initially I was thinking a dashing headbutt (like Honda's Super Zutsuki) too, but then i came up with the Charge Kick i showed up, so i don't think two dashing moves can be good, tactically speaking...

Just call it Break dash instead of Charge Kick. Break Dash is Pluto's weapon, and does exactly this.

Thank you guys for the support  :)

I forgot the Break Dash, all I was considering from MMV was Uranus Deep Digger, but it's essentially the same as Super Arm, so i excluded MMV for the power sets. Thank you for the suggestion, Hard Man will use Break Dash then   :thumbsup:

Awesome sprites and animations man, I considering its enormous weight, I think it would be perfect some hugo specials like : "Meat Squasher" and  "Moonsault Press" or the super : "Megaton Press", that would be amazing

Thank you for the tip, but i don't like so much the idea of taking super or hyper moves from other fighters movesets... I discarded the E. Honda's Super Zutsuki idea for this reason. Maybe I can use these moves for some inspiration  :)

Hi! I'm really sorry for this extra-long hiatus, this has been a really hard year with the university.
Leaving the job on Hard Man for so long has left me kinda uninspired and for some time from now on I'll have to work a lot on my graduation thesis, so times will not be better  ~X( .

For now, i came up with an intro for Hard Man after reading Archie Comics Mega Man. I kinda liked the idea of the Monking advertising Hard Man about Mega Man arrival, so i tried to do something similar. I'll have to recolor the Monking a bit, but for now here it is:



(I'm really sorry, i don't know how to make the image appear here instead of the link. When I used Imageshak there was no problem, but now it doesn't let me upload other images unless i go premium, so I moved to Deviantart and now I have this problem. I'll try to figure out how to make the image appear instead of the link, then i'll edit this post.)

School definitely takes priority over mugen.  Glad you still have the interest.  I like the animation.
I fixed your display issue with the pictures.  I use a photobucket account.  If you modify your post you can see how I made it display after uploading it there.   ;D
