yep. I plan on working on most of his basics like... fast (but definitely accurately) then I will slow down a little bit... So... I'm expecting to be done with at least 2/4 or 3/4 of the basics by the end of THIS month.

I have 90% of the sprites, because... well... that's how much I have... I got rid of 10%, because I think I'm messing a few effects... maybe even some character sprites, as well...

Well... I probably won't be done with 2/4 of the basics till mid or da end of this month... so... yeah...

Anyways, if anyone has any wicked crazy hyper ideas (that are fully constructed, and just not half constructed), then let me know. You can let me know through PM, if you want, as well..

You can have Devilotte or Ken Saotome (Jin's father) as an assist.  Their are other chars like Santana, Mary Miyabi, Gawaine Murdock (Friend of Jin's father), Arieta, Chiyomaru & Tessan (Cool looking duel), or Shade (Killed Jin's father) comes as an assist too.

More ideas would be helpful... maybe some show & tell of some really cool hypers would be good. I'm going to try to make the basic hypers as cool as can be, btw.

I meant for a win taunt or assist and some of these characters to appear.  Like with Reu's Evil Ken has Vega appear and Ken does a Dragon Punch to him.  Just trying help, so don't target me unless you some kind of beef with me for some unknown reason.  I was as if you were calling me an idiot since you post it twice. :-??

... I was just trying to say that you were saying "assist" .... I didn't know that meant intro or win pose, as well... so... that is MY FAULT...

Maybe I can do a reference win pose to The Shadow guy... like having Jin say (after winning) .... "I will revenge you...." 3 seconds later.... "Father...." ??? Does that work or do you think I should try something else?

It's no problem.  Here is a site that has Jin's ending from Cyberbots http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/arcade/c/cy.htm (http://www.vgmuseum.com/end/arcade/c/cy.htm).  I hope this is of some assistence.  Also in Gawaine's ending, Jin acquire's his sword, maybe that can be used in a new hyper.

Well... I don't think that that would be a good ending... unless Shade is in the Super MvC:EOH Project... I think this character's role in this project should take place before or after Cyberbots... just to not confuse his story in this project.

So... I think I should keep it as a custom intro as "I'll face you one day...." 15 Seconds... "Shade..." or as a custom win pose as "I'll revenge you..." 15 seconds... "Father..." ... or maybe I could include both... :-?? :-??

If you do one of those, I'd go with the "Avenge you Father" win pose.

Also, it's cool to see you contributing to EoH, ATICE, and it's a char that's been sorely missing! I've been enjoying your other characters quite a bit, so I'll be looking forward to this one. Good luck!

nope. You may be confusing Jin with Strider.

Originally, I was going to work on Chun-Li for the project... but Vyn already started to work on her.. they wanted 2 versions then... but I said no... and I ended up working on Jin. I've actually always wanted to work on 2 chars... Jin & Strider.

Um... I'll update progress when I'm 2/4 done with the basics... might take a few days - a week...

Your next project is MvC;EOH Jin Saotome? Sounds like that idea was been made before, but not really. Got a question, how is the character gonna be made? Using the MvC:EOH template or is an edit? I just want to know, that's all.

All Super Marvel vs Capcom:EOH Project characters use the MvC:EOH template... some of the older characters use the older version of the template, though... that's the only difference...

Now would be the best time to come up with some very unique lose, win, & intro's .... I think me & Zepar have come to an agreement on one of them... Title of that win or intro would most likely be 'Revenge...' .... or something along those lines... So... I can come up with some unique ones... but it's you all who are going to be downloading the char... so... I'm gonna need some ideas that you'd think would be cool. :thumbsup:

Well... I consider the stance kinda a screenshot... I'll probably add screenshots tomorrow.... there's not really much to screenshot right now, though... ;*)) I only finished with the guard animations... I might just do the 1st WIP vid... then for the specials and hypers, I'll post those animated screenshots. :thumbsup: I already did make a WIP vid list, if you didn't see that.... :-??

As for Jin in EoH, the Beta 2 release has Jin by Noboyuki but we've had some conflicts with the code there so I support Attice making a new one. Obviously we all know Kong will be making one nevertheless.

I know I would like to see some screen shots too though.

Okay! Here's the plan for this month... (enjoy!)

No screenshots... WIP video = end of month! What date, you say!!??? Who knows... I don't even know... I'm guessing somewhere around the 30th.... 8-} 8-}

What does the above mean??? Yes! All of the basics will be done by the end of the month... why?? Because I want them to be! Big woop, wanna fight about it? *puts fists up* >:( ....................  ;*))

Okay... another big question you might ask...

Q: Will I be done with at least 1 special by the end of the month?
A: Um... by the 22nd, I plan to at least work on 1 special... do I know if it'll be finished in time for the 1st WIP vid... you should look at one of my previous posts with the WIP vid list (which will be edited into the first post, btw)... :-"

Another BIG question some people might ask...

Q: Do you plan to have this character completed by the end of the year?
A: HELL NO! I'm going for a January or February date!

a hyper where the robot fist slams down from the top of the screen could be cool. jin could uppercut the enemy into the air, jump out of the way, then the fist could slam down really hard, kinda like a hammer.

another useful idea would be letting jin use his golden armor as a hyper instead of when he's about to die.

Thank you very much. More updates coming soon.

To anyone who really cares... : you know how I said progress will be slow... mostly that's because I just got a full-time job... it's going part time in a week or 2... or so... um... I plan on changing that one to Thurs. & Fri. ... and the new one that I'm hoping to get soon will be Monday - Wednesday (less hours)... with the less hours, I will have more personal time... so... I will basically be able to work on the char more. Creating chars for MUGEN is a good hobby, and I really enjoy it.

So... just letting, anyone who cares, know about that...

As for progress... I might actually finish some more animations tonight... so... we'll see...

Ok... For the long wait, I have not much to show, so I won't show anything right now. More importantly, I'm still tweaking a move out, that won't come out just right... I want it smooth, but it's curving and not freakin' smoothing out right... so... no new screenshots for a while.

Um... I will make Jin Saotome's first WIP video towards the end of the month, no matter how far I am... I'm far enough right now to show some things... but not much.. so it'd be a waste making the WIP video now.

So... stay tuned... towards the end of the month, updates will start coming again, after the 1st WIP video.

More screenies will come this weekend. I haven't been able to do much since Saturday, because it's my first week of college... so pray that I get through that... should be fine though.. first class was good...

Anyways.. yeah... new screenies are coming this weekend, for sure... showing some more animations and a move or 2...

Also, I'm still taking ANY and ALL creative ideas for special moves and hyper moves... you can either PM me with those or post them here, so other people can discuss with you, as well... basically on how to make them coolER and what to get rid of it.

Update...

I'm basically finished with the 5000+ sprites... except for a few groups but one in particular.. I'm missing sprites for group # 5070... so... If anyone can find them or make some for me... that would be great... and you will be credited for it, of course.

Here are some screenshots of what I've been working on with Jin in the past few weeks... school & work have gotten time consuming and are way more important than any video game... so... I've only been working on Jin every now & then... off & on again...

Another update will come after I get the 5070 group sprites into Fighter Factory... um... and when I finish some other basics... + a special or 2 maybe... lol...

Yeah, I was trying to think of something extreme... and that does sound extreme enough.. ;D. I'll see what I can do... I do have an idea for the 2nd Hyper that I'm going to try out... but if anyone else has any others, then please share.

I'm not too sure about that one... I don't even know if Jin made or even controlled that akuma/gouki looking robot, so I don't know if that would work right.

i think that jin does need more robot related attacks though becuase most of jills attacks involve zombies or other resident evil enemies. they could be like giant assists maybe if not hypers, just ideas  ;)

Good work on the char so far atice.  %%- to ya. Also to keep you informed on shin2 akuma he is stalled atm till I can get free time. He will be finished with your help at a later date hopefully but right now I just dont have the time.

Also Atice glad to see you went to college m8 me and you gotta catch up have not spoken to you for a hell of a long time.

On topic: I haven't really done much since last time with Jin S., except I re-aligned all the hitsparks, just recently added a lot of sounds... so... I should be getting to work on those right after the hypers are done... Regarding the hypers... I should be able to start working on them this or next week... I'm still tweaking the 2nd special... needs quite a bit of work yet...

Well.. I'm officially 75% done with Jin Saotome. I've got nothing more on the "to add list"... now all I just have to do is finish up the basics, specials, and hypers... and mod the AI a little bit, then Jin S. will be released. I have no screenshots to post yet, but I will be posting a video this weekend most likely.
