Title: Street Fighter II Super Jump Stages

For anyone who caught the "jury duty" thread you are aware that I had some time to turn all the SFII stages into super jump enabled stages. I've had a chance to upload them all now and I'm releasing them for public use. These are all based on the work originally done by Dark Saviour.

Great release Acey, thanks for sharing. Really good idea too to do this to these stages, cause they're great stages, but definitely don't get used much in my roster due to the lack of superjump, which will now change. Thanks again, and quality work too might I say.  ::salute::

I wonder.....Any chance on you doing this same exact thing with some Street Fighter alpha 3 stages or any in the Alpha series....

I have 3 of the SFA stages done already (ChunLi, Charlie and Gen), I'm working on that whole bunch. Then on the the essential KoF stages too. I want these as much as you guys do.

On the one hand - wonderful idea. On the other... maybe add elements? BG cities, Moons, Clouds, whatever... because some of these are really bare.

I know what you're saying. This is a cost benefit annalysis.

* Players don't spend much time in the air, it's up, combo then back down again.
* It takes a lot more time to add elements, alignment, code, ect...
* When I can just fill a color (e.g. T, Hawk, Balrog) then I'll do just that.
* Having a classic stage that can jump into the sky of blank color is better than no super jump at all.
* I'll take the stage elements that exist and carried them into the space that had previously been cut off but I won't be creating new content up there unless absolutely necessary.

Dident scar make these stages a couple of years ago because i remember him talking about how to extend the top of thestages and they were all like this i think i sent him a pm about it to.

Acey I think you got somethin good going here and I can't wait for those Street Fighter Alpha stages!!!

It would be nice to have one for Vega (with claw), Balrog (Boxer) and one for Karin.

You didn't need to be defensive; as I said, it's a great idea. But it's as simple as this:

I won't be creating new content up there unless absolutely necessary.

I think it was DG who had done this sort of thing with Ken's stage years ago.... but whoever it was gave the stage a new sky, and that added a lot of life to it. It was a nice effect, and easily done by adding a single extra layer with a single extra sprite. Granted, they weren't taking it on themselves to do all of them, so I get that you want to make more efficient use of your time. Thought maybe you simply hadn't considered it.

No prob, homeslice. You know we're cool. If anything, sorry if I seemed overly critical; as I said, making a pack of these stages is a great idea, for SMvC or otherwise.

We got some interesting stuff cooking for GK; you should probably check in sometime :).

I agree. Some of them are cool, but some not, its just empty. Maybe some clouds and other things could help.
Blanka's stage would be a pain to do.

I think I did a pretty great job with Blanka's stage.  :o

Im not a stage creator but THANK GOD you made these SF2 stages Super Jump capable.

Just 2 things though, I think the screen bounding on both left and right are a little too much. Characters that can do Wall Jump might look like they are floating. But it just might be me...

And a verticalfollow of 1 will make the camera follow a character the moment they leave the ground, even if its not a super jump. Try setting it to .7 and it might feel a little better.

Overall...Im glad i got these stages  :)

To be honest with u, i did like most of them. The ones that i didn't like and i do think that they needed something more ( Guile, Ken & Honda stages. Specially Guiles stage where it looks like u use the esact same background  twice for the sky. Honda stage really look don't look good and it looks like it needed something better than what's in there. I know that there are other people in here that didn't like other stages, but for me, those are the only 3 stages that i didn't like, i did like the rest of them. Great job

Great work on that superjump added man..of course many of them needs some work, but  that's just what we needed from Sf2.  :thumbsup:

Who knows the versions with super jump stages of the Street Fighter Zero / Alpha?!

Street Fighter II Stages with Super Jump height was enough for me to join. I wanted to have at least 10 different Street Fighter II stages that had vertical scrolling.
