For good sprites you must do it pixel by pixel.

8=| i know exactly what it means. if you dont have the patience for it then it obviously isn't for you. i say you guys should try it, it realy isnt as hard as it looks even if you are just an editor, but like said before you may need complete patience if you're just starting otherwise you'll go >:( and smash you cpu. :P i'm still learing myself if anything if you dont know a thing about cvs shading *i know a little* i really suggest you not follow the shading parts, it can be real frustrating and complicated since cvs is oh so much different than any other capcom style. even sf3/warzard's style is less complicated.

yeah, is kinda hard. the samanosuke akechi sprite in my sig is 90% from scratch...  :w00t:
and i thing SF3 shading is most complicated than cvs..or is maybe that i just sprite all in cvs  :-??

well i can't say it wouldn't be for you, though i do suggest tryng it out for fun it really isnt hard as it looks, unless you plan to animate the sprites, but animating is usually the hardest part of spriting for me.

mostly stances, with other tings it usually focus on 1-3 parts of the characters while most stances move the entire body and sometimes the head i.e spriting elena in cvs style would be hell in a hand basket \-/o

spiriting isn't hard if you have the time but it's hard when you are editing or making a lot of frames tho
it's about the time you spend on it really.
