Mugen Jay Garrick, Golden Age Flash 2.0 WIP

Hey guys while Professor Zoom is in the final touches of getting coded, I've been wanting to sprite but been either busy with work, or dealing with junk in my real life. Yep. Life stinks. lol*Iceman ThumbsDown!*

But 2 of my favorite comic book characters have come out this year, and both are going to be wips of mine, and are going to try to work on simultaneously.

The first one is Ben Reilly, the 1st Scarlet Spider, I'll post sprites of him when I at least finish his jump sprites.


Second is Jay.


I know what you're thinking, I already did Jay, well, sense his brief return, I've wanted to revamp his sprites and Improve his game play and more. So expect some a few new hypers, specials, I don't have a coder in mind just yet, Youngsamurai isn't as active as he used to be so I may need a new coder. But I'm just focused on spriting right now.

Also, If at any point in time Someone rips voice clips from Injustice 2, that would be awesome and would love to use them for Jay's revamp.

Let me know if you guys think I should add a smart pallet to him, to make his pallets more diverse than the previous ones.

I like how you improved his walking animations, but stretch the upper body a bit more. Now it makes his head big.

@NX-Men - No Coder yet, just focusing on the spriting, I may ask for a new coder when I have more completed on him.

@Dev- Yep, I was never really sold on the walk sprites to begin with, just looked to funky. I blame Cyclops for that. :P

But yeah, I'm going all out for Jay, He was my first character and I want to do him justice. So I'll make the nessessary adjustments to fix anything caught.

 ;)

I foresaw how you will be so creative for his future intros x) just like you were for Reverse Flash.

Updated First post with New Basic Punches. Hope you like them.

@Citizen, oh yeah, I defenitly have some new ideas for him, for hypers and his block animation, I haven't thought about yet, but I'm always getting new ideas when it comes to Jay.  :cool

Just some ideas I have so far.

Specials:
Fast Knuckle Brawl
Mercury Kicks
Helmet Toss
Dizzy Spin
Flash Dash

Block animation: [New] Jay will hold his helmet with both hands and in different directions very fast, be able to block oncoming attacks and deflect them.

Hypers:
Whirlwind Uppercut-Same as Before, Inspired by win quote from first Injustice.
Ring the Helmet-[New Hyper] Jay repeatedly beats on his helmet, creating a sound wave at opponent.
Abrupt Stop-Same as before.
Speedforce Assault-Same as before.
Recalling My Days in the War-[NewHyper] Inspired by Injustice 2, Jay grabs opponent, and travels through time onto a battlefield in WW2, where the opponent gets shot up by Americans and Nazi soldiers, then taken back to present and thrown into the furthest wall.
Calling the JSA-Same as before, may just make their attacks different or leave it alone. don't know just yet.

Hope you guys like the new punches and ideas.

As for smartpalls u mentioned above I think its ok as he is. Do u have any alternative costumes in mind you want to implement on him? :)

I did a mock up Smart Pallet to give an idea of how I'd want it to look:


As for Pallets, I do.

See, with his regular being his default, will represent his more modern costume.

But I would create a brighter pallet to represent his Golden Age appearance, and darker appearance to represent Rival (Edward Clariss). Along with a Reverse Golden Age Flash look (Yellow and Red Shirt with grey pants.

But Also include the CW Hunter Zolomon Jay Garrick outfit, Cobalt Blue, WW2 Green Soldier Apparel, Pure Speedforce ala Kingdom Come Inspired, his Elseworlds Liberty Files look, or just being able to wear a short sleeve version of his shirt.

Hey guys, sorry for the late update, just been busy with real life junk.

 Anyway, the first post has been updated with Jays Basic kicks. Hope you like them.

As to what I sprite next, we'll see.  ;)

Thanks NX, but sense you mentioned the Rival Pallet, it made me want to get a few pallets made up, so I tinkered around and made up a few, I'm not done, I'll probably come up with more, but it's a start:

nice to see this update man. this character keeps getting better. I just have to say that most of it looks super cool man. loving those pals too. as far as critique goes, if you resize his arms on both walks, this will make him look even better. I feel they are to skinny for his torso.. still congratz on all the hard work you been doing man. keep up the good work!!!!! :cool
