With Skullman all finished up (finally), I'm moving on to a new character, Quickman. :thumbsup:
I plan to have him use fast attacks and have him use reflexes and his speed to his own extent. Currently, I have no coder for him, but this is what has been made so far:

I like it.  :thumbsup: The details and everything are great. The only things is, that he looks kinda short or small for some reason(maybe its just me). Also, I like the unused stance better, but thats just my opinion. Good luck on him Manic.

I like that Quickman! the only thing is to me that punch is kinda weird... its more like his bro-fisting with someone, i think he could use some anticipation frames to look more "hiting" like
(and excuse my bad english XD)

I know what you're saying. In my original stance, he is taller than the others (look at his legs and how lanky they are) in the Power Battles games so I stayed with that concept when I designed that stance. Here is a sprite comparison of some of the PB bosses:

but this is Manic's project. In my opinion Quickman looks fine either tall or same height as the other Mega Man characters.

P.S. Manic can use both stances in the character at the same time.  ;)

Yeah, the animation's actually supposed to be a lot faster than that, so I'm sure it'll look less like a brofist in-game. :D
The long legs I can add afterwards if necessary on some sprites, and yeah, I think I can go Acey style with the other stance and make it so it's used after standing up from a crouch. :P

Also, finished the HP too. Just have to add the diamond knee pad things. My animator seems to slow down the finished animation when saving it though, seemingly.. /:O

When I saw this on the RMM thread list I was like "Yes! Yes! Yes!". Now I no longer have to worry about my favourite RM not being in the game!

Just out of curiosity, how much speed (in mugen file units) where you planning to give him? I was thinking around 8-9 for walking speed, but eh.

Now that punch looks perfect man, for some reason my gif animator makes the final product actually faster than he shows me in the preview, at least im not the only one that got problems like that XD

I'm liking this idea, surely you can code him once you'd want to. :thumbsup:

Also, some others at MFG felt that the stance was a bit awkward, so I thought of maybe combining the current and unused stance. What do you guys think:

combine them. On the first his entire body reads ready set go except the chest. on the second his chest reads ready set go. the sliding foot on the second look awkward. but the bending of the knees does on the first but i say it the best of the two evils

take the chest from the second. and add it to the first. or basically since its the same chest for both stance switch the order of the chest in the sprites. So the when his knees are bent so is chest. a running stance of sorts.

if you dont want to do that i choose the first.  i hope what i said above made since.

There's something about his hand that just looks....off (the one with the boomerang shooter thing). Not sure if it's just me but the hand seems to big and the boomerang shooter looks too small. Same for the fingers, the look a bit odd to me.

it is a cheap squash meant to simulate breathing and weight being placed on that arm. The right spriting/ editing need to be done to fix it.
