CAN SOMEONE HELP BEFORE MY COMPUTER IS JUST A HOLLOW HUSK?

Your hard drive may have some bad sectors(corrupted data) or it's failing mechanically. You should read this guide on how to diagnose the hard rive and possibly fix it.
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1583&page=1

Also you should read this article on how to keep your data safe in the future:
http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1124&page=1

If in the event that your hard drive is failing mechanically you should backup your data quickly onto a external hard drive.
