Title: Ethernet Issues
Post by: bse24 on January 12, 2011, 05:23:09 PM
Hi.  I am having some internet problems with my desktop.  I was just looking for pictures online and then all of the sudden my internet went out.  It said the "local area connection" adapter is not working properly.  It said there was a problem with either the driver software or the hardware.  The driver software looks fine, there isnt a yellow exclamation in the drivers program, and I opened un the computer and there doesnt seem to be any thing wrong with the hardware so I am lost.  I did all of the modem restarting and unpluging, and it still didnt work.

It must be the hardware or it could be a virus? I say, scan your system and if that does not work, then try reinstalling the drivers(you should be able to get this from the PC manufacture or the company who made the motherboard). If not then try ordering this card (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166017) and see if it performs better than your onboard ethernet.
