Great tutorial! Glad to see you over on this site, and hope to see more of your good works in the future!
Yeah i thought why not post it here to? I mean if it helps new creators make more stuff for all of us it can't do any harm in posting it her then? Glad to see you here to, at least I sorta know someone here
.
It seems like a more advanced frankensprite tutorial to me... but that's just my opinion. Very nice job on it too.
Spriting is spriting to me, by hand or frankening stuff it's relatively the same in that you're meshing colored dots on virtual paper
Also scratch work is also used in frankensprites so I wouldn't entirely call it mislabeled? But then again maybe I am not clear on the definition? Anyway thanks for your feedback, yeah it was my first tutorial and to be honest it isn't all that great, some of the text is poorly timed in the vid because of the new video recording software I got and I could only upload it to megavideo because youtube has a stupid length rule now. Hopefully I get to redo it again but in a more slow paced and refined way sometime in the near future.
The real treat in the tutorial however is not my skill but rather the program I used, it is the perfect tool for mugenning and I highly recommend it to everyone.
