Super bars problems
« on: August 17, 2007, 01:50:48 PM »
On certain characters, there's moves that don't use any bars. The moves take for example 1 bar but when you got 1, you can use the super forever. Any way to fix? Also a few chars have more bars then others. Can I decide how many super bars a char have?

Ok for decided how many boars they have, open up their CNS file and find

life =
attack =
defense =

That stuff, well, under Defense put

Power = *Number here*

When you decide on a number, make sure to do it in multiples of 1000. Like for example

1000 = 1 power bar
2000 = 2 power bars
and so on.

EDIT: As for the other problem....

Open up mugen in Debug mode then go into training........or go into regular mode and hit Control + D while in training mode (the actual fighting part).
Select the character you're having the problem with.
Now do the move that's giving you the problem and take note of the starting state number for that move. It will be near the bottom left corner.
Once you have that, open up the characters CNS file(s) and find that state number.
On the first part of the state there should be a poweradd =     trigger. Put whatever you want it to cost and remember 2 things......
1. Multiples of 1000 again.
2. Make sure to put a - sign right before the number which means it will be subtracting.

Well well, I don't know what to say, didn't try it yet but I'm sure it's gonna work like it did for characters. Thanks so much for all the help man, it's greatly appreciated  ;D.

Edit: New problem -_-. Everything works good but for some reason my debug mode doesn't work anymore. I can clearly remember everytime I used it I could see white text at bottom. Now it just doesn't show up. I tried Ctrl+D, not working.

Do you have debug mode completely disabled in the mugen.cfg file?

Thank you again Bri. =)

Do you have debug mode completely disabled in the mugen.cfg file?

[Debug]
 ;Set to 0 to disable starting in debug mode by default.
Debug = 0

 ;Set to 0 to disallow switching to debug mode by pressing Ctrl-D.
 ;If Debug = 1, this will be ignored.
AllowDebugMode = 1

 ;Set to 1 to allow debug keys at all times. Otherwise debug keys
 ;allowed only in debug mode.
AllowDebugKeys = 0

 ;Set to 1 to run at maximum speed by default.
Speedup = 0

 ;Default starting stage for quick versus.
StartStage = stages/stage0.def

Don't think so   ??? .

What happens if you change this

[Debug]
 ;Set to 0 to disable starting in debug mode by default.
Debug = 0

to 1 instead of 0?

Thank you again Bri. =)

Nothing different. I mean I'm 100% sure it worked yesterday, now it doesn't. Oh and when I press Ctrl+D during a fight it just takes the "D" as a high punch.

The D, yes but I tried removing it, not working either. As for Ctrl it's not in use.

Yes I am but that's not the problem either. I just fixed it. I got a brand new Mugen folder and put all my stuff in there. It works on there. It looks like my old one fcked or something. Thanks for the help anyways :)

One more thing, if want my char to lose an amount of his bar per seconds during the move(Zero's timestop), what would I put in poweradd = ?
