I think every character should be attempted in the MVC style. the possibilites for gameplay and moves are endless.

Max, the original coffee achiever!-from the Sam and Max games and comic. and of course have Sam as a striker for Max, with sprites from hit the road and the voice from Season one and two.(MvCstyle)
Moon Knight-Marvel(MvCstyle)
Stubbs the zombie (MvCstyle)
A finished Raziel
A MvC style Alucard and Soma Cruz, with original hand drawn or edited sprites to make them look like they actually fit into a 2d fighter
Vampire Hunter D (MvC style)
Vincent Valentine-Final Fantasy (MvC style)
Cyberdemon-Doom (done in MvC style of course and has to have good hand drawn sprites and hopefully not too cheap)

It would be fun to battle more Super Smash Bros.-styled characters, such as Bowser, in the sort of the way that "Mini-Mario" and Warner's Luigi were done. When Super Smash Bros. Brawl comes out, it might be nice if somebody would create a regular-sized (like MUGENHunter's characters) Sonic based on the way he plays in the game - especially considering the fact that he seems to have a great amount of combo-ability in it, which would make for quite an intense opponent.
