This week's theme is...

*Trumpets sound*

Earth Realm 2

Think of this as the same idea that DC had with Earth 2. Your favorite Mortal Kombat characters, in alternate costumes and with alternate personalities. (These can be characters originating from any part of Mortal Kombat by the way... they don't have to be from Earth Realm, they can be from Outworld and etc.)

Same deal as before. PM me, ATiC3, your submissions. I will not accept sprites that are just palette swaps. You will actually have to do some alterations to the sprites or make them using a different base than they are.

You have until Friday, July 8th, at midnight to enter your submissions.

I'm not much like Tsuken (and every other spriter in the world)
For some reason I don't normally spend more than a day on a sprite, unless it is a multi-parter like Zombie Clown or Dreaded Nightmares.

Too bad, I hate when RealLife doesn't give up even a few days for spriting.

To be honest, if I don't get 2 more entries by tonight I will likely extend it another week.. but can only do one more week.. I did give 3 weeks for this already.

Yeah, I got busy for THAT long. Kinda sad, if you ask me.

Maybe I can enter this contest, but I'm not sure of joining this. One question though. Do I have to use MK characters or just any non-human characters from any TV shows, videogames, etc. but with the Earthrealm look?

This is basically like a twist on the Mortal Kombat universe kind of topic. You have to be creative on what you think an MK character would look like with an alternate costume and backstory. So let's say Sub-Zero and Scorpion... Alternate story = They were never two people, they were one person.. Sub-Scorpion or Scorpion-Zero: A Deadly Combination. That kind of thing. Entries that have something like Liu Kang in a cartoon network world.... no....

Oh, and yes the entry date has been renewed for another week.

Just to let you know I did receive your entries. I only got a few so ONE MORE WEEK and that's final. I understand this was an important weekend for you all so it's cool.

You have until the 8th of this month to get your entries in. Again, if you have already submitted one, and you would like to update your sprite you are welcome to submit the update by the 8th. The 8th is ABSOLUTELY the FINAL DATE.

I understand how important wrapping up school could have been for you all, especially if you're trying to wrap up college classes for a summer break or something.
