DirectX 10 for Windows XP?

My friend was talking about this and said there was a vista hack so tha you can use DX 10 on XP. Is this true or is just a bunch of  .

from my understanding, it's not possible on XP... at least the way it is now, DX10 was made for Vista. something about how the graphics API/drivers are written differently in Vista than in XP.Now I have heard rumors that some independent peeps are working on a cracked version for XP, seeing as though a lot of people still use it, but still, no guarantees
