SnagIt recording problem

For some strange reason the program is running really choppy. My first video I recorded with it had no problems like it is having now. The audio is working perfectly fine (just got it to work), it's just the picture that's "stoppin' and goin' ". Anyone know what the problem might be? It's at 320x240 for recording.
