Not really. People have been begging for a crossover since the days of Sega and Snes, there are even a ton of Sonic vs Mario video's on youtube, but I think Sonic would kill Mario because he can go at mach 1-2 speed. Mario is just a human that can jump really high.

I don`t really now...i only played the first SSB game...it is still awesome,but due to crappy emulation i couldn`t complete the game more than once...
Besides that...It`s good to see that characters like Sonic might be included...although according to want VKM posted from wiki(not 100% sure of course) he might not be added...
This game will be one candidate for game of the year i think,as it`s been expected a lot!

Also one of the creators of Fighting Vipers decided to put Sonic in for his own amusement but Sonic was removed from the game for Sonic The Fighters, however, it's proven you can hack the game to play as Sonic.

In my case, I really don't want sonic or earthworm jim. What we need is a new earthworm jim for the DS, also They can't put a character in the game when they have a release date. Everything in that game already is final. It just hasn't been released to the public. Also, the only reason they put Solid snake in it was because Hideo Kajima (creator of metal gear solid) begged nintendo to put Snake in melee, BUT it was to late in production to put in a new character, so, ties were made and bada bing bada boom, Snake = Brawl. Sonic has a high possibility but, meh, I don't really want him in it. I'm not against it, but we'll see what happens.

Y'know, it would be so much eaiser if there wasn't a limit to 3rd-Parties. I mean, why not just have 10 of them, and 50 Nintendos. Wouldn't make that big a deal!

That would make up for the crappiest fighting game in history not to mention the massive ammounts of clones and the lack of balance there's going to be.

I don't see Crash appearing in Smash, he just doesn't deserve the spot, he started on PS consoles and then on Nintendo's HandHeld....Okay.

Sonic would kill Mario

As Fast as Sonic is, Mario's Stronger, I mean, he can easily swing and throw Bowser by the tail, Bowser's 4 times if not 6 Mario's Size and Weight. He'sa Strongah!

In any case, about characters not really having fighting moves, I say "what?" I've seen Earthworm Jim, Soinc (and co.), Megaman, Samus, freakin' Peach, and others star in fighting games.
