new cartoon

@VKM: c'mon...at least in the new ver. Sheredder was bad@ss...i remember
him in the old cartoon being a wimp LOL

Depends on which new version you're talking about.

There's Krang Shredder, and then there's Undead Shredder. both which didn't even feel like Shredder to me.
The old Shredder was just a normal evil Warlord who ran a army of ninja,
not a alien Utrom, and not a undead zombie. Also the undead zombie only lived for 1 season.

the Shredder in the old series, while a comic relief villain, remained in almost every season. I'm not sure if they'll bring back the undead shredder (I hope so) in the next season of the new TMNT, but with the Turtle Dragons crushing him, I doubt it. The most typical thing that would happen is Karai turns possessed from absorbing Shredders dark energy.

and I really hate the 2003 April character design. She looks more like Mary Jane Watson then April O'neil.
Although this topic is about the 4 turtles, which I don't care since I have 2 versions of each Turtle.

Yeah...i also find the current April O'Neil soooo not April O'Neil LOL

and about Shredder i meant (in both personality and looks) this one
(i believe the one at the begining is Oroku Saki -the human- , am i right?)

after he supposedly died i stopped watching it because the story
became too much ridiculous for me to bare with it LOL

Nope, that's the Utrom Shredder with a Oroku Saki Shell.

Yep. The only human shredder is the undead shredder... well he was human, until he was revived as an undead.

2. Anyone's who's read Eastman & Laird's comics before Archie hijacked the series will remember how nitty gritty the series was & how well the characters (even the villains) were portraited.

Well, the Archie series was a diferent comic altogether, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Adventures, which practically followed more of the cartoon untill Eastman and Laird stopped working on that and gave it to someone else.

Their original comic from Mirage Studios is what the new show is based on, minus the Image Comic's Vol. 3, which was ok but was way to destructive to warrant continuing the story.

Fun Fact: In the current comic (Vol. 4), the Turtles are in their 30's!

that looks phenomenal, Maran.

But I still prefer pupil-less turtles like in the comics and late TV show, it just makes them look more like serious business.

Your old school Raph edit totally embodied that with the long flowing headband and stuff.

Well, when these turtles are made someday the pupil will be made with a specific color so that they can be colored white with some plaettes in order to disapear and colored for the classic cartoon look.

So is that what the turtles are supposed to look like?
If so then cool.
I'm glad it's not just ripped sprites from one of the many TMNT games.

Crap! I must have missed this poll somehow  /:O Oh well, I prefer #2 Eastman & Laird all the way...I mean for me it's all about the comic book versions. The movies and cartoons fail to live up to who the Turtles really are, I grew up with the comics and for me those are the real Turtles. If any of you haven't read the comics..I suggest giving them a good read  ;)

*sigh* Surprisingly a lot of people haven't read them, but that's their origin and for me that is their real essence. I guess most people only know them from the cartoons, movies and games.

Yeah, I guess people wouldn't have known there were comics unless they were a comic buff like me going into my local comic book shop and spending hours there going over stuff. So sad the comic book industry gets no respect or good publicity so people can see where a lot of the characters they love come from. TMNT has been around a very long time..way before the first cartoon series. I feel so old now  :P

I have an issue of Archies TMNT:A
It's so hard to find. lol.
I got it at Gibraltar Trade Center, and the comic book guy only had the one issue, so I was like.... SOLD.

I just wish they would produce all the comics into huge graphic novels like the batman and spiderman novels you find at book stores.

Personally, I love all versions of TMNT.
It's just without the 80's cartoon, I probably wouldn't know what TMNT is.
The first movie was good because it was dark and gritty with Raphael saying Damn all the time.
The third movie sucked though.
