Title: Best Bases For Martial Artists?
Post by: StarXS on August 17, 2007, 02:18:35 PM
In addition to my Starman character, I'm working on a martial artist character who has the skills to take down the Batman... some peeps may already know who I'm talking about, but I just wanted to get this right - Who(m) in Mugen is a good martial artist and would work for a base? Or even who are the best Mugen martial artists? Any helpful comment is appreciated

Some characters from Street Fighter might work like Fei Long and maybe Guy.

As far as sprites go....nothing.  Its just how you program the character.  Like super jumps would be good for mvc characters as well as guard push.  It justs depends on how you want it done.  Take Peter griffin for example.  Most of his sprites are from scratch but his gameplay is that of MVC.  You get what im saying?

Martial Artist that can beat Batman? ...
Mr.T...no
Jackie Chan...no
Bruce Lee....Dead so no
Van Damme.... no
Steven Segal.... hell no
Stone Cold Steve Austin.... He's a wrestler not a Martial Artist...

I've Come to a conlcusion, there's only two Martial Artists in the world that could beat batman
Jason David Frank, and Chuck Norris.

Batman has trained in many forms of martial arts throughout his career... snippet examples of that are in Batman Begins

from wiki:
Unlike many superheroes, Batman has no superpowers and instead relies on "his own scientific knowledge, detective skills, and athletic prowess." Batman is physically at the peak of human ability in dozens of areas, notably martial arts, acrobatics, strength, and escape artistry. Intellectually, he is just as peerless; Batman is one of the world's greatest scientists, criminologists, and tacticians, as well as a master of disguise, often gathering information under the identity of Matches Malone. He is regarded as one of the DC Universe's greatest detectives. Rather than simply outfighting his opponents, Batman often uses cunning and planning to outwit them. In Grant Morrison's first storyline in JLA, Superman describes Batman as "the most dangerous man on Earth," able to defeat a team of superpowered aliens all by himself in order to rescue his imprisoned teammates. All that PLUS he took on Darkseid 1 on 1. Superman lists Batman as a Class 12 fighter, the one I intend to make is Class 15...

No, but that would make a cool character... I'm talking about the Karate Kid, from the Legion of Super-Heroes

Karate Kid (Val Armorr) is a fictional character, a superhero in the future of the DC Comics universe, and a member of the Legion of Super-Heroes. He is a master of every form of martial arts to have been developed by the 30th century. The extent of his skill is so great that he can severely damage various types of hard material with a single blow and was briefly able to hold his own against Superboy through use of what he called "Super Karate".

Val Armorr was the son of Japan's greatest crimelord, Kirau Nezumi, also known as Black Dragon. When he was born, his mother, the American secret agent Valentina Armorr, tried to hide him from his father, but she failed and was killed for her affront. Japan's greatest hero Sensei Toshiaki (the White Crane) eventually killed Black Dragon for his crimes and adopted the infant Val. He raised Val as if he were his own son, and trained him in all manner of the martial arts. Val became the youngest warrior ever to earn the title Samurai, and he went to work for his local shogun. However, after trying his best and failing to please his supervisor, he quit and searched the galaxy for new forms of battle to master.
