well i dunno if already posted this.
how to turn a pic u like of a character into a sprite?
1.
select the image. resize it if u can and want to the desire size.
2.
draw over it, component by component. using separated colors for different stuff like armos, skin, accesories, helmets, belts, etc.
i recommend u to use brillient colors so will be easier to see. in this process u may have to convert from RGB to PCX as much times as u need to add or change colors.
3.

fill it.
once again ad new colors easy to see.

Change the color for those u want and add shading.clean it from noisy pixels. also now u can make alterations to it. always remember to turn it into PCX
if u did it well, your new sprite is also palette swappable:

hope is usefull to you all.

I have a question. Do I need to sprite edit a portrait? Also, I was thinking about sprite editing from 3D to 2D like from Street Fighter EX 2 Plus.
