I used to love both of these shows.
The orginal show ended in 85, i turned 2 that year, but i watched it then, and i watched she-ra too, and the shows would rerun on various stations while it was in sindacation and i have vague memorys of the show.
Conan was on arround when i was 10, it had a plot. Which was an improvement over he-man. Had nothing to do with the Conan movies, and probably wouldnt have been on as long if it haddnt been for the licence and name. All you really had to do was change the name of the main character and bamm, its something else all togeather.
But you got to admit, the thought of Conan fighting Alien Snakemen from another dimesion is awsome
Spoiler Alert
I can even remember an epp of the show that had Conan and friends had to go to the other dimension that his sword banished the snakemen to. (See Conan could only strike the snakemen with his sword, which was made of "Starmetal" found from a metor that has the power to reveal the snakemen's real form and banish them to their home when struck.) After going though waves of enemys who kept reappearing after he would attack them, sence they were teleported a few seconds later back to where they were hit, he came accross the alien snake god and did battle it. Now that i think about it, this show barrows some concepts from the cthulu mythos created by hp lovecraft)
