As various other odds and ends are being taken care of I'v been using some free time to make some much needed changes to old characters.
Storm:
I was watching Storm in demo mode last night and decided to just fix up her face a little but some other itmes ended up getting a minor fix too. So I lengthened Storm's torso, shrunk her hips a little, tamed the hair just a bit and a few face items, her nose, eyes and neck basically:

Colossus:
I've thought for the longest time that Colossus looks great, the only probelm was that Capcom gave him a big nose, and he never had a big nose in the comics so here he got a nose job. I also ended up lightening his eyes, closing his mouth, moving his jaw and reshaping his head.

Rogue:
I don't kow if I ever showed this before but Since Kong gave Rogue flight I've been redoing her flight sprites.

Haggar:
Lastly, I have been giving Haggar updated animations as well. He has a few new punches as well as the ability to jump and air attack while holding the lead pipe now.

Cool.If you guys make a new EOH rogue, you should really take the whole idea of Parasite in mind. Stuff her with so many powers that a zip file would probably explode xD
She could mimic the powers of all the EOH combatants...and if you were really generous, other comic characters in the Mugen universe. As it stands there is no rogue that keeps my attention for very long, they all seem to just giver her a random boost on attack or something.

I like the new Storm and Colossus designs, even when minor, it's good to see this overhaul :).

Rogue will eventually be able to steal all the powers of the EoH fighters but it won't happen for the next release unfortunately. I built a spreadsheet of the powers that will need to be made so the process has begun though.

That is definitely great news.
BTW the new sprites look great. The Rogue & Hagar are probably my favorites

Storm's my fav from those. Minor changes that made a huge difference. Looking forward to seeing more on her. :)
Can't wait to see Rogue start getting all her power sets also.

if you do the nose like you want on every colossus sprite, it won t be just a minor work, these little details are time consuming.

Those all look really good, nicely done. It might just be me, but Storm's right leg seems a little skinny compared to the other one. Other than that, she looks really good. I really liked what you did with Colossus and Haggar too, can't wait to try them out. :thumbsup:

You're right, I thinned out the right leg more than the left so I'll need to go back and touch that up.

nice work. i love ur work on Haggy and Colossus. Storm is a beautiful looking sprite but i think it needs some tweaking. He right are is a bit to muscular and it looks as if its out of socket. If its the puffy shirt like the original then a lil more work is needed. I love what you did with the face and hair. She looks so F'ing sexy now . . .OMG. One other thing that should be address is the left leg. A lil thiner or toned. I love the work. ^:)^

edit: LOL the original Storm always made me think of Oprah. :'( not any more tho :thumbsup:

wow. such light changes taht make such a heavy improvement. I really like them.
the only thing that gets me is haggar's pipe. it seems too small.

The pipe would be medium sized if cody or guy was holding it.
Final fight's pipes are usually alot smaller in comparison to say, streets of rage's.
All in all, This is very cool acey. It most likely be a long drawn out process, but at least it will make up for alot of capcom's silly mistakes.
Will the other two wolverines be ridden of their rubber claw stance in the distant future?

I am aware of the fact that the pipes were small in the old final fight games, but I still think the sprites would be improved in this game by having bigger pipes.

I'm sure It could be fixed with a few pixels.
The pipe has so many directions it can go as its always facing upwards.

lol, ZVitor made a stance for Maskless Worlerine that was pretty good and had no jangly claws, so we'll see, but BoneClaw wolverine will retain the original stance regardless.

Now that Haggar's pipe was pointed out, it does look a little weird. Instead of changing it's size, since it's accurate like you said, maybe you could just give it a little depth so it doesn't look flat (2d). I keep forgetting these aren't finished yet though, so you were probably already going to do that, but just in case, I guess it is still good to be said. ;)

That is pretty much the finished pipe as I was planning to have it. I agree, it was much, much bigger in the actual game, looks like I have some food for tought.

So I'm still going at it with sprite updates in all my characters. I'm keeping a matrix of what needs to be done with everyone and I'm getting a lot checked off the list.
Haggar has had his throws updated again as well as a variety of game play aspects. He was also a test dummy on a new style of realistic AI I had been working on for a while. Only thing left to do on Haggar now is to update his AI into mugen 1.0 standards and make his electrified animation. He has a new intro and win pose as well. Below is a shot of his new jumping punch "with pipe active" animation.

Human Torch has been begging for sprite updates and even though I did a variety of touch ups over the years all his normal attacks have remained basically the same, well no longer, we're going for complete sprite harmonization here with many moves just simply replaced. His controlls have been changed as well as a lot of his timing. I've decided to leave most of the fire fx seprate form the character now wihch allows the fire to keep burning even during hitpauses.

As seen in my sig Blanka has a new stance to make him feel more serious. I've been working on the rest of the sprite set to make sure it all matches and he's still a work in progress.

Uhhh... can you give me some tips on how to make a good freeze sprite? I've been having a lot of trouble on my Onomatopoiea's Frozen sprite.

Great work on all the updates so far. I did have a couple of questions regarding Haggar, though. I know you said you're updating his throws, does that include the spritework? The only reason I ask is that his grab sprite looks a bit lackluster, specifically where his arm meets his shoulder:

Secondly, I was wondering if you were planning on doing any color separation for him, as his shoes and shoulder strap are shared with his skin and hair.

The throw sprite looks exactactly the same as the sprite posted there, and unfortunately Haggar will not get palette separation. There just isn't a point to it.

In regards to the color separation, are there any tutorials out there on how to do color separation on an existing character? I can't code or sprite for anything, but I'd like to try my hand at that for a few characters.

Both Haggar and Arthur are maintaining their pre-mvc3 game style. I considered hard revamping them totally (which would be easy for Arthur since my version is much more complex than the MvC3 version code wise) but it's not worth it. Someday we'll get our hands on MvC3 sprites then we'll really get to work on MvC3 characters.

Some new basics, that makes a lot of sense, but he won't be losing the Gwen Stacy intro.

She looks incredible, best design I've ever seen for her, I have to say I've never liked capcom's version nor any other Storm edit, you are doing a fantastic job on her.
I want to make a little suggestion, is there any chance she could lose her shoulder pads?
Always thought they were awful. :P
