Title: SpRiTe Of ThE wEeK cOnTeSt #29 Theme
Post by: DARKTALBAIN on December 07, 2009, 02:13:33 PM
I hope to see many participants for this weeks holiday theme. I wanted this to be a theme & since the winner suggested it, I had to choose it for this festive season

Week #29's theme is .....

" Trumpets sound "

Christmas characters!!!!

The theme is rather simple. Make a custom sprite of anything with the holiday theme.
Sprite your own Rudolph the red nosed reindeer. Or make a sprite of Morrigan in a festive holiday outfit. As long as it fits the Holiday theme it will be accepted.

Anyway there you have it , good luck to you all . Same deal as before, PM me your submissions . I will not accept sprites that are just palette swaps . You will actually have to do some alterations to the sprites or make them using a different base than they are .

You have until Friday at midnight to enter your submissions

Also , please send me png or gif files . The jpgs I have been getting , I think hurt a lot of contestants since they lose quality .

Thanx

Can we sprite any themed of any holiday in December, like Kwanzaa, or does his have to be Christmas only?

I guess not to alienate our Jewish forum members, I will allow Hanukah.

& for our African American members that celebrate Kwanzaa, I am allowing that too.

So send me your sprites of lighting the kinara.

Anyway, just a question for those that celebrate Kwanzaa. Does that mean you do not celebrate Christmas?

This is a reminder to all, keep the Holiday content under a PG-13 rating.

 :'(

Had almost finished Hi-res Christmas Link and then the program crashed.  Guess that'll be a painful reminder to save every five minutes. Maybe next week.

Sorry to hear that.  :(

I learned that lesson the hard way, myself. Always save after each & every alteration you make to a sprite

Ya I've kinda learned this lesson before but since I've been running on no sleep since monday I wasn't making smart decisions like saving. Oh well.  :-??
