How Can I Take Off The White Background Of My Avatar?

You'll probably need a different piece of software that lets you select a color to be transparent then save it as a GIF.

I think Irfanview will do it too - it does it when I load up images I've saved from Fighter factory.
It's free too.

Just some tips:
use a darker red for the outline.
all that extra stuff is not needed, i think it makes it looks worse. sometimes it looks good sometimes it doesnt.
If you are going to use all that splatter, dont emboss it, makes it look nasty.
use colors that flow.

Then the ava would look perfect.

It always amazes me when I see people that have made their avatars in paint....I wouldn't know where to start with that O.O

Also, it's nice to see some of you guys using the stock shields my guys and me made
