Portrait Help

How do I make the lime green/florecent pink background in my portraits transparent. I don't want it to appear in my mugen .

you usually need some sort of image editing program so you can set color 0. if you don't have one, just PM me the portrait you wanna change. i'm gonna start posting them in my thread in a way where all you have to do is convert them to .pcx

no you don't .bmp is fine but the onlything is you need dos2win after just save a picture of a portrait with a green or a purple type bg like the ones in our gfx section of this site match the color and use it as the bg and with the right stuff you can make it easily

Use it as the background? Could you explain how using irfanview or photoshop xi .

are you kidding me? if you go into fighter factory and click on change to replace an image or sprite what ever you call it. click on that a screen will show up like uploading a pic if you have windows it should have something like this on the bottom

well if you click on that arrow the second option should say

Windows Bitmap (*.bmp)

am i right or wrong?



and matching the color use photoshop use tool that looks like an eye dropper on the left side it will match the green or purple bg that works if you use it for sprites and no bg portraits

The part I don't understand is that I got the images with the pink/green background already. I convert them to pcx and change the chars portrait. Then when I play mugen you still see the pink/green background. How do I change the background so it becomes transparent(remember the background is already pink/green for the portrait). Oh and they are big portraits.
