Dante: He made the devil cry. How cool is that!?!
Kratos: He killed the god of war (I havn't played that game yet =[)
Ryu Hayabusa: He's a ninja, which means he's cool by deafault.
Master Cheif: He has guns. <_<

Of those on the list, I had to go with Solid Snake. But I agree with Scar, Samus is more bad@$$ than anyone else mentioned here.

A little less known, but still awesome would have to be the Guardian from Guardian Legend. She literally took on an entire planet. If you've never played this game, I highly recommend grabbing an NES emu and the rom for this game.

What no Gordon Freeman? Sgt. Cortez? Codename: 47? or how about the guy from the original doom? Abe from Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee? I mean he dealt with land mines and grenades every few feet, not to mention meat grinders.

All in all Chris did have it rough with his knife, need of keys, and Rebeca.

Of course its megaman, if ya think about it, 10 games, 8 bosses, 3 to 4 final boss missions each. thats 90+ missions over a lifetime and thats not counting the other series. Megaman has been through more crap than a sewer rat. Megaman hands down.

Ryu Hayabusa would tear her to shreds. Anyone who has played Ninja Gaiden II (360) knows how cool Ryu is.
