Wow I'm impressed by what was done with the sprites, and also the way the surfer board was handled. Very good. Will a voice ever be added?

Im having problems with the Silver Surfer character..It says that the files are won't go into the folder for some reason...

Also it says that the QUE.MP3 is corrupt...

what were they from? the 90s cartoon? a game perhaps? you got me terribly fascinated now

also, for the arcade intro music, I think I'll make a cut-mix from "halo 3" that is appropriately mystical & I suppose has a galaxy sort of feel to it. it's a pretty cool section of the soundtrack, nontheless I think it definitely goes with the character

Yeah...i'm also having a problem with the Silver Surfer character as well.As i was trying to upload the character to the mugen,he wasn't able to be loaded at all.I check out the Silver_Surfer.def file to see the contents,and i noticed one of the .cns files as well as the .cmd file wasn't in the folder that i unzipped.I can't comment on the MP3 file being corrupt(but it might be a problem as well).Whether this is the cause ...i'm not sure but i would appreciated any help regarding why Silver Surfer isn't able to be loaded.Thanks in advance.

I just downloaded him and upzipped the entire file. Here are some suggestions.

1) Perhaps the file didn't download correctly, try downloading it again.

2) Perhaps it extracted incomplete, make sure the entire file is extracting (or unzipping).

3) I use Winace, it's a great program to extract files.

that and WinRare associated WinACE files, so either program might work.

also, I had no trouble downloading & extracting the surfer's files. everything is fine on my end

Thanks for the reply.Yeah...i tried downloading and uploading the files again and it didn't work.I still notice that those
particular files were still missing.I used Winrar to extract the files which i don't think would be a problem to use...Right?Would it make a difference if i use Winace(which i don't have) would perhaps better my chances of extracting the files properly? Thanks for the help and i hope to hear from you soon.

The funny thing is i just got a trial version of winace(version 2.11)and i downloaded and extract the files and i still have the same problem that i did when i extract the files with Winrar.At this point..I don't know what to do.When i extract the files...This is what i get (when i used the winace)so please let me know if everything is here that's needed to make Silver Surfer playable:

this is a growing frustration of mine...put em in a folder named the same thing as the DEF file, except without ".DEF" in the title. I'm frustrated when creator's zip all of their files into a zip file without putting them in a folder, sometimes the associated files get scattered with the rest of your files in the game's folder and it becomes a chore. So, if push comes to shove, I always make a folder with the files in it, & re-zip it

I think his supers would have an easier time hitting if he wasn't so high off the ground while performing them. I understand that he's flouting during the moves, but he can float a little lower methinks. I have a really tough time playing with him right now because of his lack of moves, and the fact that the moves he does have either aren't very useful, or are very hard to hit with.

He means the version by 'marvelvsdcu', using the same xboy sprites (not the scruffydragon one).

It's great to see a decent version, thanks a lot AC for all your hard work.

got a question though, can there be a small update to his blocking ability? was hoping his crouching sprites could be use for it, since he does nothing for blocking

Some feedback:

- His movelist shows qcb, k for summon board, but it's actually qcb, p
- His qcb, kk hyper does a bit too much damage imho
- His qcf, k fireball is spammable for an easy infinite juggle while on his board
