Anyone ever play Soldier of Fortune: Pay back?

I was thinking about picking this game up, but it got some horrible reviews. I loved the first one, hated the 2nd one, but I'm looking to give this one a try. I don't mind dumb AI and mindless shooting, I loved Quake IV and Serious Sam so I was wondering was this game similar to those in terms of run and gun. Serious Sam and Quake IV were long games though, and I hear SOF:P is very short.
