How close is Dr. Fate to being complete?
He's pretty close actually. I just have to finish spriting all of Spectre's sprites to finish the JSA Hyper and I'm done officially spriting him (unless I want to make special intros).
At the moment, He needs major coding. Only thing done was just the basics. My Coder is MIA sense he's working 2 jobs and school.
He also needs some sounds for actions, and I was thinking of either voicing him my self, or us voice clips from DC Universe Online.

I'm not expecting a miracle of getting him completely coded, cause I'm not quite finished with him (finish jsa hyper part Spectre, gather action sounds, get sprites ready, and voice him). But to at least get a few things added more to him for a new preview of him in action. I do have some sounds gathered, sprites of first intro/winquote, specials, big/winportrait, Hyperbar, defence, and 1st level one hyper sprites ready though.
So if anyone is available or interested in, PM me. Cause I know we all look forward to having a good Dr. Fate in our mugen's.

He opens his cloak, releasing a swarm of bats, ghosts, and fire breathing gargoyles, and fades away!
I will make sure that everything in the gif is sepperated to be properly coded, so no need to worry.
So now, I'm finished Spriting the good doctor! XD I was going to sprite a pose for Special Intros with other characters, but I'll save that for a future update.
So now I can start getting my sprites ready to be shipped and coded, and start gathering more sounds and start doing more recoding so he can finally be playable!

Thanks Lando, Sense working on Jay (being a Flash fan), I grew very fond of the members of the JSA, so working on Dr. Fate was very satisfying to work on, and brought out the best in me in terms of my skills right now.

I don't know how you did it mon-el, but those effects look awesome!
My coder made those actually. I originally had everything in sprite form for the Light of Ishtar Hyper, so it was going to resemble something like the hadoken. But He went above and beyond what I expected and made such spectacular effects with 3D and Photoshop. Makes me wish I could make stuff like that and had the programs to do it.
