Post by: Jay_High19 on August 12, 2007, 09:03:56 PM
How come people who post start a new topic in the request section don't get a post counted? ???

LOL.  Infnity is using the old "request posts don't count thing" MI has.  Gold.

Really?  Just encouragement to post elsewhere.

That is all my fault when I was setting up the sections. It was unintentional, but after I realized what I did, I wondered and then decided I wanted to experiment and see who would continuously be a lurker around here, so I left that section unchanged. Maybe I will one day change it back, maybe not. If I don't and the other admin's decided to, then no sweat. But for now, it stays like that.

Whats the point of knowing who is a lurker and a person who posts alot? To make fun of them, to single them out? I don't really care if alot of people lurk, cause there is more than enough people who post regularly anyways.

I see both sides, and I think if you're only here to grab someone else's char, there may be another site for you.  A forum is a place for people to post their opinions, not beg for chars.  I will admit when I first started (the first time.  This is my second time joining) all I cared about was getting new chars, but I got interested in discussions and upcoming chars, and everything else.  I don't think we should single out moochers and insult them or ruin their time; but they don't need to be getting points for requests.
