The main question is if you could get a higher resolution than before. :-??

I've looked it up and it might be the TV.

If you installed your drivers more then once, then its the TV. Video cards will give you the max resolution they can use no matter if you use M$'s drivers or Nvidia's. But if the max resolution and the TV's max resolution don't match up the card has to abide by the TV/LCD screen or it will say its out of range and won't display anything.

EDIT: For instance this LCD screen im using has a max resolution of 1024 X 768 but my dual 8800 GT's can double that without any trouble. But if I go beyond my LCD's resolution it says it is out of range and stays on a black screen till the default kicks back in because of a timer.  Plus Most Nvidia drivers (including the latest) won't even let you select a higher resolution then what your LCD supports. It blanks it out and makes it un selectable.

Meaning your LCD screen cannot use that resolution no matter what.
