Title: Ant-Man (Try for no spoilers)
Post by: Jelux Da Casual on July 16, 2015, 10:17:11 PM
Marvel has proven once again that in the right hands with the right people, they can do no wrong. Anyone who ever doubted this movie owns it to themselves to plant a chair.

Despite everything they showed in the trailer, I still had a fantastic time with this movie. Even in places where I should have been expecting what was going to happen, I was caught off guard because I was too busy actually enjoying the film. When a movie can do that, it did good.

I honestly got nothing bad to say about it, it was paced well, the actors portrayed characters excellently, and it was a dang funny film to boot.

Side note: This movies has two button scenes, so stay for the post credit scroll.

Ant Man Will Return.

Agreed, I watched this last night, and I gotta say it was enjoyable all the way through, and my favorite scene was with the giant ant, very cute

Just got back from watching it. It was a hoot! I agree, don't let the quirkiness keep you from going. Go see this. What really stood out to me was how the humor was actually funny! So many movies that have humor in it often don't make me laugh. This made me laugh, many times. And I mean that in a good way. I'd say this is an action comedy, with a bit of heist film on the side. The only nitpick I'd give it is it was a bit heavy on the CGI, but I'm used to that with these kind of movies, so no biggie.

I really enjoyed it.  It could have been less of a build up for the heist and some more fighting but I'm not going to complain.  I had lots of fun watching it, laughed at the jokes, and walked out happy.   :)

As far as marvel introduction movies I have to say this is one of my favorites(really close with the first Ironman). The wrote the script perfect for Paul Rudd and he knocked it out of the parkand I'm super excited to see him in civil war.

I'm curious to know what side Hank and his team will stand on cause he didn't seem to like Stark Familiy

Well the comic hank was pro registration in the comics, even helped build prison 42, this MCU version might not even care, although he would be more prone to side with cap only to stay hidden from the limelight, and the fact he isn't fond of "government" deciding what's best, but he also hates Shield, and I don't think he hates stark, just doesn't trust him, I'm sure he was very close to the family, even if they had a difference in opinion regarding the pym particles

I recently watched the film and I gotta say, it was pretty good. I wouldn't put it in my Top 5 MCU list, but I still had a lot of fun with it. I think the thing that really helped it was the acting, there are a lot of great performances here.

I've heard a few people actually critique the numerous (and by numerous I mean four XD) tie ins they make to the grander MCU. Granted I don't think it was as bad about it as Iron Man 2, but I'm curious as to how you all feel about it.
