Title: What is Necro-bumping? (READ BEFORE POSTING)
Post by: Jelux Da Casual on September 24, 2008, 12:59:43 AM
Necro-, the Greek prefix meaning death

Bump-, the result of posting in a thread, typically returning it to the top of the list of active threads.

Necro-bump- to revive a long dormant forum thread by adding a new post, thus bringing it to the top of the forum list.

At this forum, posting in a topic 30 days or older is considered a necrobump.

From this point, please check to see how old a topic is before you post in it.

If it is older than a month, think before you post, or at least post with something that warrents a revival.

If it's older then 2, please don't post unless you are the creator of said thread and you have something relevant to the current threads existance.

If it's any older than that, just leave it alone. We've several threads FIVE months old revived for something along the lines of: "Sweet, thanks for the release," or "What's the status of this?".

If a dead thread is needlessly bumped, it will be locked.

Topics will be unlocked by or at the request of the thread creator.
