Yeah that too. The Rangers were Voiced by anime Voice actors instead.

ok im a die hard power ranger fan...well atleast only for the first few seasons...once they went turbo and started going to space i was like PEACE OUT!! but anyways, ive been anticipating this game for a long time too, and knowing that disney made it REALLLY bums me out and the fact that tommy isnt in it doesnt surprise me since disney made it. they wouldnt understand how important he was. only bandai would understand. and this is comming from a jason fan...a true red ranger fan would HATE tommy but even i think he should have been in it. its one of the greatest rivalries EVER. im really

I heard that Green Ranger was a boss. Couldn't you just mod the game with action replay to make Tommy playable?

So I just got the game and beat the story mode.
The Red ranger IS Jason, and the Pink ranger IS Kimberly. You can tell by the tones of their voices. You can only play as 4 characters from mmpr.
Red Ranger
Pink Ranger
Yellow Ranger (unlockable)
Blue Ranger (unlockable)

The story is that After Zedd became a good guy he still looked back on his days of being evil and found out about the time transport gems. So Omega Ranger (from SPD) of the future goes back into a bunch of other timelines and recruits 2 rangers from each timeline. He can only recruit 2 because that's how many rangers can use the time gems without breaking them.

The game itself, well it plays as a sidescroll platformer. You go to left to right in the old traditional 90's game style. Thebackgrounds are 3d and character models are cell shaded. Each Power Ranger uses the same moves. The specials are pretty much the same (each do their own pose).
Sadly I don't think the unlockable characters have voice actors. I played as the blue ranger (mmpr) and heard him say nothing. Although the gameplay is simple. Beat this army, boss fight, next level, beat army, beat boss, megazord battle, repeat.
Sadly the green ranger is no where to be seen in this game. Oh well. At least you can play as MMPR characters. I mean, the gameplay between each character isn't really different so they didn't have to add so many characters in the roster.

The game has a lot of unlockables and secrets, all which are easy to get if you're actually focusing on getting them rather then just trying to beat story mode.

Although I'd have to say the major downfall is the Megazord battles.
Normally you'd think it would be a monster mash. Instead It's a Shenmue style fast action button thing and you have to try to get the bosses life points to be gone.
Personally I think they could use more modes, such as Multiplayer vs. (there's only multiplayer co-op)
Online play obviously.
And of course perhaps playable bad guys as well as rangers from more series (such as Zeo, Dino Thunder, Turbo etc.)

It's a real simple action platformer, and at times it kind of feels like playing Supermario mixed with a game where you button mash to beat your opponents.
It's a solid action title, but it needs a lot more work to be perfect. Although this is the only good Power Rangers game to come out since a the genesis days.

I give this game a solid
6.7/10

Speaking of Villians, who did appear? I remember seeing Goldar in one of the videos. For instance, did Turbo's villaness, Pirate Queen Divatox, appear? Just curious

They didn't have the turbo timeline in the game. So no.

There's only one boss in each timeline. Sad but it's true.

The villain in SPD is Icthior
The villain in Morphin is Goldar
The villain in Ninja Storm is Choobo
The villain in Overdrive is Moltor
The villain in Lost Galaxy is Trakeena
The villain in the final levels is of course Lord Zedd (although instead of Growing himself, he has this bad@ss megazord).

Thanks for the info again. I've never heard of 'Icthior', but then again I only ever saw a few episodes of the English SPD, while I saw the complete Sentai equivent, DekaRanger.

'tis a shame, though. I always thought Divatox had an interesting design.
