Capcom (USA)made it again...first Poison,now this...

Most of us will probably know the background story about Poison from Final Fight(first:woman,then:drag, finally:sex changed...)
Now check this line,extracted from Wiki about God Rugal from CVS2:

God Rugal's name was changed to Ultimate Rugal for the US release of Capcom vs. SNK 2 due to censorship. Other parts of the game were also censored, for example, the word "Genocide" was taken out of his trademark move Genocide Cutter and it became "Destroyer Cutter". Rugal's DM version, Genocide Heaven became "Total Annihilation" in the English version as well. The voice clip for Genocide Cutter is also removed and replaced with a grunt

They killed completely the meaning of the character,who was supposed to be the God of fighters!Orochi+satsui no hadou=WIN!
This really annoyed me(not as much as 4 kids killing animes with their storyline-changing dubs )

Yeah,  think in the US CvS Pro in the FinalFight stage they removed the lyrics I think because somewhere in the song the guy says "I'm ready to f******' spill."  good thing I have the Japanese version.


EDIT: Megaman and Zero can't say "Damn!" anymore apparently either.

Here in Argentina censoring it's NO FORCE at all. We come from military dictatorships and people have developed a strong rejection to censoring. It has gone to the extreme side though - National TV showing boobs in central time.

By the time I saw it I had only played Street Fighter II for the SNES( Wasn't too much into fighters ), so Yeah such poligonated fighter wasn't really hot.
