Reminds me a lot of a darker Injustice for sure. It does look pretty interesting though, and the two new characters are certainly something to think about, they're a first in the series of their types. Nonetheless, can't wait to see some more.

Fresh news:
We can see Cassie Cage (daughter of Sonya Blade and Johnny Cage), the big guy with the tiny one on its back is called Ferra/Torr, the spider girl is D'Vorah And the blue guy is...Kotal Kahn.

The game takes part 25 years after MK9. The chars have different styles to choose from.

Wait... if Kuai Liang is dead and Bi Han is Noob Saibot and this game follows the MK9 storyline... which Sub-Zero is that?

I like the fact that they are going to be making a lot of new characters. But he said that we would be seeing some returning characters that will have aged. I dont know how that Sub-Zero Fits. I would think that even it is his younger brother he would look older then that.

The 2 different types of fighting styles is pretty cool. But in the trailer they showed it looked like both Scorpion and Sub-Zero where doing moves from all 3 different types. Maybe they will have a mode where they can have them both.

Interested to see who the boss is going to be. The new guy Kotal Kahn may be a family member of Shao Kahn. He reminds me a lot of Attuma from Marvel and little like Ogre from Tekken.

I'm sure story will be cool. They do take pride in it.

Cant wait to see more.

This is cool. I'm glad to see they are moving forward and telling a story set later after the MK trilogy. this reminds me of MK4, in terms of roster and story choice. I'm excited to see what they come up with. Looking forward to seeing who returns and how they have aged. Also looking forward to seeing who is the boss character. I hope it's a really cool idea and not just a returning boss character.

Wait... if Kuai Liang is dead and Bi Han is Noob Saibot and this game follows the MK9 storyline... which Sub-Zero is that?

It could be one of their children or grandchildren. Or someone entirely different from the lin kuei. OR it could be one of the brothers and they are just ignoring certain deaths from MK9. OR it could be kuai liang brought back from the dead. OR it could be that there was a third brother!... :)

MK4? I think it's very different now: MK4 was close to the events of MKT and this one is 25 years after it. I just hope they don't f**k everything up like what happened to Soul Calibur V.

I could say he is a child, but who would have anything with Sub-Zero? He never looked like someone who would get a girl. I remember that Sareena was in love for Bi Han and in the later events for Kuai Liang as well, but would they actually get a child? And Scorpion calling him a murderer further reminds me of Bi Han, but how could Bi Han become Sub-Zero again? Of course he was killed, but was already a servant of Quan Chi, so being revived was not problem.

Meh, tomato tomoto. MK4 feels different to me from MK1/2/3, even if it isn't as drastic as MKX.

I wanna see Cassie Cage in action! I'm actually surprised Sony and Cage got together!!!
Maybe after the events of MK9, they felt like they were the only people left on earth? lol

Well, at least one couple should exist in the franchise. And it was kinda obvious, in fiction, when someone resists flirting the way Sonya did, usually its because he/she is hiding his/her feelings, its very cliché. Anyway, he wasn't the only option left, Raiden was there too, so, if she only wanted to have fun, a god seems like a better option.

Just to clarify, this game won't take place 25 years "after" the last game, rather it will take place "during" the 25 years after the last game.

Found something interesting, Cassie and Kotal Kahn gameplay

By the way, I hope the lifebars and the select screen aren't finished, because I don't like the bars and it looks like a small roster.

Cool! Thanks for sharing. I actually like Cassie Cage a lot. She seems like a good cross between Sonya and Cage. She's got some cool moves.

Lifebars may be temporary. I remember it was that way with the new Killer Instinct when it debuted at E3 last year.

Small roster? That's 24 characters. That's a lot in my book. I know modern fighting games have a lot of characters though.

Ferra & Torr's fatality, Kotal Kahn brutalizes Cassie with his X-Ray, but gets fatalitied in the end, Sub-Zero gets fatalitied by K. Kahn, and then takes down Scorpion. Also has two more fights where D'Vorah and Cassie's winposes appear.

That's not confirmed. The bottom right of the image even says it's fan art. Good fan art though, but I doubt this is legit until confirmed by NetherRealm.

On a side note, does that design remind you of Scarecrow?

Ed Boon hints at Raiden being in MKX

Sub-Zero - A is a good match up for Scorpion - C, which is a good match up for Raiden or somebody - B

One thing I've been thinking. If MKX will be for PS3 and 360 too, why is everyone talking about fatalities going next-gen? I mean, if they were using something that is actually any big deal, they wouldn't happen on these older consoles right?

NEWS FLASH!!! RUMORS THAT CAME FROM JAMES SUNDERLAND, WHO, APPARENTLY LEAKED CORRECT INFORMATIONS ABOUT MK9 AND INJUSTICE.

- Liu Kang has a design for MKX, still not implemented on the game
- Kotal Kahn is not related to Shao Kahn, but has something to do with Shinnok
- Demo will be coming to the fans
- Tanya is believed to be in the game, her X-Ray resembles her lame fatality in MK4
- Planning to have 14 brand new characters, 8 from MK9 and 8 from MK4 on
- Planning on a roster of 30
- A large part of the Story Mode is devoted to MK4 events
- Sheeva will not return
- Easier gameplay
- D'Vorah is harder to play with
- Scorpion is the tester for character moves
- There is a reptile-man creature, unknown if its Reptile, Chameleon or a new char

Quote
*******None of the following is Konfirmed********All from a group who got to visit the studio in Chicago... Liu Kang DOES have a character design for MKX. Not implemented in the game as of yet. Kotal Kahn has no relation to Shao Kahn. MKX demo will be coming out for fans like they did with MK9. Tanya is believed to be in the game. An X-Ray that was tested resembled her MK4 Fatality of her twisting the neck with her thighs. Planned to have 14 brand new characters, 8 returning from MK9 & then roughly 8 from MK4 on. Planning on a roster of 30. The storyline does go 25 years forward but a large, nice portion is devoted to the MK4 storyline (right after MK9) Kotal Kahn has something to do with Shinnok. This person didn't fully understand. No Sheeva. Gameplay is like MK9 but a little tighter & easier to use. D'Vorah was more difficult to play than the others. Scorpion is used as the "tester" for all character moves. There's a reptile-like man creature. They weren't sure if it was Reptile or Chameleon or a new character. Was on computer screen getting worked on.

This report was by James Sunderland. apparently he got mk9 and inj info correct so we'll see

I can semi-confirm on the MK4 characters part.
While there will be a total of 8 characters from MK4 and onward, only one MK4 character, that did not reappear after MK4, will reappear.

I feel the same way. There really isn't anything we're seeing in the gameplay videos thus far that can't be done on previous-gen consoles. It's kind of sad they can't devote all their resources to next-gen consoles and make the graphics look extra extra great. Right now it looks like Injustice with a MK re-skin. Not saying that's bad, but I'm sure that's a little disappointing for next-gen owners.

I must say that I don't really care about the next-gen owners. I understand that they want games with absurdely different gameplay and looks, but, where I live, its not really common to have PS3, so it its kinda worse with PS4, 'cause its not everyone here can spend R$4000 to buy it. And the game is still looking f**k*** awesome, so there is nothing to complain, if both sides are actually winning.

I've been wondering who:

MK9
- Sub-Zero (already revealed)
- Scorpion (already revealed)
- Raiden
- Quan Chi
- Mileena
- Ermac
- Cyrax
- Sektor

MK4-on
- Shinnok
- Tanya (possibly already on)
- Chameleon (I'm betting on him for the reptile-human creature, Reptile is boring)
- Sareena
- Ashrah
- Reiko
- Fujin
- Nitara (fanboy choice)
