A pretty good Sonic related question

You all know about Sonic Generations, right? Looks awesome doesn't it. The Classic Sonic stages look like it's gonna be awesome

But here's the real kicker: How will Generations' affect Sonic 4?

What I meant was, they're obviously holding off on Sonic 4 in favor for Generations (no complaints from me ) But if Generations does well enough and if it's as great as we're hoping it to be, will they just make every episode like Ep 1 but with more improvements or perhaps they'll include the classic Sonic model into it (Why only let it be used for one game  ) or are they just gonna completely rehash Sonic 4 and make it like the classic levels in Generations

Sonic Generations won't impact Sonic 4 at all. This has already been answered by Sega. Sonic 4 Episode 2 is on the way, and is only taking so long because they're retooling the engine to satisfy fans.

Sonic Generations is a straight game.
Sonic 4 is a series of episdoes being used to isolate what aspects fans like the most until Sega has the perfect Sonic.

But I wouldn't buy that "retooling engine" thing. Wasn't that their excuse to delay Episode 1? And look how it turned out

I think Sonic 4 seems more for old Sonic fans who like playing 2D sonic series.  And Sonic Generations is for new Sonic fans and old Sonic fans (they feature old sonic, new sonic, 2D style and 3D style at same time).

Sonic Generations reminded me of Mega Man X7 a little bit (because the game features 2D and 3D), but Sonic Generations looks fun to play.
