It's the story, Sub-Zero never did kill scorpion's clan/family however Quan chi tricked him into it by posing as sub-zero, along with the help of shang tsung, but it was originally with his master shinnok so idk why they changed that part.

Anyways my point is this is the actual story, this shows how badly the mortal kombat story(s) were explained in the game

Rumor as it they wont appear till season two. The reason being that everyone knows these guys and there story. ..... i think its one of the video done by the producers of this series. Im at work now by i can look once i get home.

I like the Quan Chi setup actually, this makes Subzero and Scorpio as mortal enemies but they could also eventually team up.

Well in mk9 if you beat the game with sub-zero or scorpion, don't remember which one, they actually do team up together and exact revenge.

What was with the really liberal use of the F word??? Just seemed really out of place for a lot of the settings and unnatural with the flow of the rest of the dialogue. Felt really forced into the script is what I mean.

Cause people love coarse language, whether it flows or not.

Maybe next season it will grow and more will join the fight.

It's already been confirmed that will happen. Some names that have been dropped are Sonya, Kabal, and Bo' Rai Cho. They wanted Goro for this season, but had to drop him due to the budget, so he may appear next season.
