Fighter Factory not opening
« on: April 30, 2017, 04:59:16 AM »
I recently re-installed MUGEN and Fighter Factory, after my previous computer stopped working and I still can't get to my old files but wanted to have the programs on my new one, but find that Fighter Factory (I went with 3.0.1) keeps crashing.  I have 64 bit RAM, though I downloaded and tried both versions.  Could the problem be Windows 10?  I purposely didn't upgrade my last computer past 8.1, so I don't know.  Anyways, it would be nice if people might be able to offer some solutions.

I go to open it and it will bring up the logo thing (that has the copyright information and stuff--don't know what it's called), waits a long time and then brings up an error message

That little bit that I do see, though, is tiny, so it would be nice to get help with that after the other problem is fixed (considering that, with my experience with GIMP on this new computer, the interface is likely going to be tiny).

Pictures, in case it's helpful:
The logo thing (and how freaking tiny it is)
The error message

MUGEN opens fine, though (I downloaded 1.1).  I haven't put any characters in it, but I'm okay on that end.  I just want to create a screenpack, and I have files for it, so using Fighter Factory would be a plus.

Well I can safely say Windows is not the problem. Try re-installing it.

I just tried, from a different source, even, with the same result.

I realized recently that my display settings on my computer might have something to do with it, but I'm not certain (though I did hear it can crash at higher resolutions).  If it is the display settings causing it to crash and that I need to go to a lower resolution, I would wonder what a good one is.  My computer defaults at 3840x2160, and I haven't changed that.
