His base is Iceman, so he have a normal body, not a buffed up one like Cyclops.

Ahhh ok...that would make sense. Thanks for the info.

Special intros, not completely necessary; but I agree I personally don't like the lack of a taunt

He will have a taunt, besides its nothing required.
Are you aware, for example, that everytime he hits his sweep kick (crouched strong kicK) or its knocked down...he will say random phrases?

I don't belive in you, you have edited my char! :)

What happens in 0:35?
The block bug I am already aware of that, I will fix on the next version.

Besides that, what are your points? The red clsn?

yeah, I know, I was stupid.

But what are your other points besides that? Or I will break your face :)

Edit:

Depends of which ones you are talking. In some moves, he has a piercing/blade/spiked-like attack, so I think its better to make the enemy to be hurt if he touches the attacks. This is why in, some cases, the blue CLSN do not cover the red ones, because some attacks are weapons.

But I will take a look at this, thanks

i know what you mean, but infinity priority is not a good thing to have, like catwoman wip, no sense put blue at her whip attack, so if enemy hit her whip she should get the damage? no

so her whip have infinity priority? no, i used a helper for it, so if enemy hit whip with a bigger priority attack, he destroy the invisivble whip helper and no one get damage.

Zvitor, "infinity priority" is something not set in the stone (IOW, some moves have infinity priorities) and doesn't have too much relation which what he said in fact. He is speaking about the size of the red clsn boxes. This is an old rule, people started to think different of just cover red boxed with blue boxes.

We had a long discussion about this at MFG long time ago, talking about how to use CLSN in weapon attacks. Its not right to use a blue CLSN over blades, for example. A blade will always have bigger (or "infinity") priority agains an attack, because the attacker get hurt when hit the blade.

I don't think it makes any sense to have a blade or any other weapon to be hittable, even a whip. Try to hit a wip while he is swinging and you will see what happens.

On the Spider's case, the blades are part of his own body, so this is why the blue boxes are smaller. The red boxes are bigger than the normal because, as I stated before, I do not use pixel-based CLSN like is common in mugen. I use motion-based boxes, IOW I actually study the movement per se, and put the boxes where the blade was positioned right before, not just where it is now.

Pixel-based boxed aren't so funcional as we think. Those are some good exemples (see the "priority" of the attacks):

(just look at Toon-Poh's attack...And at Strider too. The hit boxe are the green ones, the blues are "push boxes")

Other examples

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

i see, i know that is a long and old discussion [and off-topic here], but just because capcom did that not mean it is cool, actually part of what i do in mugen is fix what i dont like at capcom games, to our mugen rosters we cant really set in the stone a rule to everyone use,
but
like sword exemple you like to say, so if you use same char with sword to p1 and p2, they sword will not hit the other sword? if you use invisible helpers, they will hit and no1 will get damage.

Not really off-topic. We need to fix what we think its broken. On my case, I don't think its broken, this is why I haven't "fixed" it. Au contraire, I expanded it.

This would require a weapon clash code, and doesn't worth the trouble for me in this case. I do prefer two swords that doesn't hits each other on an attack (they need to be on the same spot to hit) over a blade/spiked weapon where I hit it..and I win. Makes no sense to me.

All right, first things first. The whole move priority thing is something Mugen made up for some reason. In actual fighting games, every move has the same priority.

On a logical standpoint, being able to hurt someone by punching their sword makes no sense, but if we're going to use real life logic in video games we might as well get our heads checked.
But on a gameplay standpoint, weapon attacks have hurtboxes for the sake of balance and allowing the opponent to be able to trade hits.

And also to allow humorous situations like this one

However, let me be clear on something. Weapon attacks DO tend to have more priority by having their hitbox extend longer than their hurtbox. Generally, I would add a hurtbox around halfway to two thirds through the weapon hitbox. It also depends on the weapon's range as well.

Yeah I know, or we won't have fireballs, lol I just try to borrow some parts from real life because I am a martial artist myself, so I know a little how a punch or a kick works.

I know, this is what I did. The attack which finishes the hyper move is an exception, since I want a "infinity priority". If I sound "NO BLUE CLSN ON WEAPONS", sorry my crappy english.

I like discussions like this, because its good to see other people's point of view. Even if I don't agree, sometimes. Keep your feedbacks coming.

I will check all the boxes when I update this char.

Thanks for the release, I really enjoyed this guy more than I thought I would!  Solid work overall for still being in beta.

-You said you were aware of infinites so I'll leave that one alone.  Only ones I found were confined to normal moves such as standing Z.
-The Blades do just as much damage if blocked in the corner as they do if they connect.  It has some strange properties on block in general that allow it to hit more than once even though the move only hits once when it connects.  I think I counted 15 hits if used against a cornered opponent.
-Hell yes to the Mr. T victory quote voice over
-Other issues were already mentioned.
