Don't get me wrong, ANC. I think you're a brilliant creater, but I've honestly heard better ideas coming from you.
I think one of IMT's crowning achievements is the way they do their Megaman characters. While there are a lot of other places where people can find really great Capcom and Comicbook characters, (Scruffy, Mugenguild, etc.) I have yet to see anyone else put out such great-looking MM characters that have a great fast-paced appearance and gameplay style. Even at their very worst, the IMT megaman characters are still fun to play as.
But as someone in the topic earlier said, they aren't even really MvC styled, which really works in favor of the game. Many characters can't even really do basic combos the same way as MvC characters (hint: Elecman), and focus a lot more on projectiles and fast and powerful ground attacks than easily air-comboing. Again, Elecman's launcher in particular is tough to use, and I often find myself zapping the hell out of my enemies, as well as doing quick dash-attacks to easily win. And this is unique for each character: I enjoy strategically cornering enemies as Cutman. Each character fundamentally feels the same as far as gameplay, but plays so differently, I would not change the system one bit. I mean sure, Iceman and a few others could use a bit of revamping, but overall, Exc said it best: this is Infinity style. And that style is for the win in the case of Megaman. ::salute::

I have to say this, bomb man looks too fat in my opinion :(|)Not fat, too big. If it was fat, it'd fit him as I remember him being kinda chubby. He looks big in a Guts Man kinda way which doesn't really fit him, but still looks pretty cool.
I've seen the wiki page about this project, and I've got disappointed that there are no MM5 char confirmed yet. But I think I can contribute with this part!
It would be interesting to have the playstyle mimic the actual Rockman games, and the fighting end be a bit easy operation, ala pocket fighter. I'd go 4 buttons - Jump, Punch, Kick and Shoot.^^(PM)^
Give each character a basic shot, a charged shot, then physical specials with command motion + punch or kick. You could really differentiate from EOH this way, while also allowing characters to have less basics required, which makes the load lighter on new creators. Hypers could even be simple activation, by hitting P+K for one or J+S for another.
Aircombos might be best done with a reserved juggle, ala Reu's Evil Ryu. Aerial Rave is once again biting too hard from vs. series - but it would be cool to see different setups off of standard juggles, launching bounce bombs then teleporting behind them to ensure they hit, stuff like that.
A system like this would also make the game feel like a natural extension of it's older brother and sister - Power Battles / Fighters. You'd be making the game more accessible to the Rockman fan community who may not be all too into fighters.
Likewise, if a creator really wants to stack their robot master with insane stuff and create a full set of attacks, then that becomes the EoH version -- allowing characters devved for this to contain new bonuses for their later EoH debuts.

Hmm.. updated the splash pic on the wiki. Added Manic's Skullman and updated it with Mew's Bombman. The other Bombman sprite was my own, based on the screencap below, which is why he looked "fat."Question EX i know Severbot is on the game but he seems out of place with all those MM characters. Bombman should be fat because he's round like a bomb~ He's not bony like Rockman. Using Gregarlink10's Rockman Rockman sprites would work as a base for certain sprites.

I highly doubt you will see any characters beyond the MM1-9 games because if you include Sigma or X or Zero then you have include them all which would require tons of more time. I mean you can't have one without the other right? And let's not forget about Vile...so I am going out on a limb and saying you are not gonna see any character above or beyond MM1-9 in the game.

It certainly needs some work, but not too bad of a start, so far. It's about time that one of the MM7 masters would get the MvC treatment, and I'm thankful for that.

Will this have Acey's version of Dr. Wily? I must admit that the current version being used is, well...rather underwhelming (a small pod that moves on the ground). ???We should have two Wily forms: One big robot (Acey's one fits this category) and a flying saucer. You first fight the big robot, then the last boss would be the flying saucer, which should be cheap and AI only.
Unless he isn't supposed to be the final boss, of course (which, by all accounts, would be rather odd). 8-}

Sounds reasonable enough to me (plus, it would be llike the usual Dr. Wily battle setup in the games)! :thumbsup:
That was my idea. The battle setup in my mind would be like this: You fight three Robot Masters, then you fight a mid-boss, then more three Robot Masters, then you fight a fortress boss, then Wily's big robot, and at last the Wily's flying saucer.
Personaly i would like Wily to be 3 forms.Could also put Wily in Tron Bonne's mech but change it enough so that it resembles the mech suits X could get into in the first Mega Man X. To acknowledge the X series a bit more.
I was thinking it would be cool if we got to fight Gamma from mm3 (the giant robot you kill with the top spin)
Then we move to the skull sauser (final from from mm7)
Then, the Alien from from mm2. Or soemthing new, like Wily in a power suit or mini mech ride.

Anyway, the Wily War robot I'm working on is a secret as well as the other that I'm working on, since I'm mainly focusing on my current robot. I'm nowhere nears as skilled as Laspacho, Excursion, ETG, Chaotic, O lu, Trasgo, DanielMCozer, and many others. So I'm much slower.

Hey I was wondering how created the template for the MM project. The signature one. I was wondering if they still had the PSD file. Ive learned some new tricks and would love to pimp out my Axl sig if i would get my hands on the PSD file.
On my Breakman it's been said that if I tweeked him some more and made him play more differently I could put him in this is that true?
EDIT: Actually his coding is the same as Protoman just changed a little to be more individual but Protoman is already in RMM template so Breakman is already in that template because I checked they are pretty much the same.
RMM template was made from the EOH template. Lots of updates and changes, hyper background bg's, dodge move, slide move, and that every character in RMM is also going to be using 6 weapon sets like the currently released Megaman from Chaotic does. Toadman, Snakeman, and Tenguman are also being coded this way.

instead of having rounds, maybe have the lifebars work like in killer instinct, where the character has two lifebars, so after one bar is gone, the character could fall down, do some sort of angry loss pose, the lifebar could "refill" like in the old megaman games, then fight the "2nd" round. after the second lifebar is depleted, they could explode, megaman style. you could probably even code it so that characters have an E-Tank icon under their lifebar that disappears when the above happens, instead of having those dots for rounds, so that players could keep track of whether tehy have one or two lifebars left.
this would probably have to be coded into the characters themselves, with mugen set to one round, but I'm not really the expert on this stuff. I think it would be a great touch to set this game apart from other MVC styled projects.

I want to ask a question. Are characters like cut man, ice man, magnet man, etc complete?
I ask cause these characters seem pretty cheap cause they lack punches and kicks but instead are replaced with special moves.
They will be reprogrammed on the character template.
Well yeah thats a given. They got to be redone on the MRM template. But will they receive normal kicks and punches.
Example:
Metal; one of his low attacks is he throws his saw. One this is a special move turned into a one button attack. Two it can be spammed to death.

All characters need to be coded on the RMM template. With that being said I really like your Roll, I can go nuts comboing with her and she is fun to play. If your willing to convert her to the RMM template then Yes she can definitely be in the game. I also like how you can change her weapon,
Even my current releases will get converted to the RMM template for the game, and will be able to change weapons. :thumbsup:
I kinda figured that out some time after I posted that. But no worries, I would like to see my Roll get in there and kick some major Robot Masters butt. I downloaded the RMM Template, too bad I have to start over on positioning the sprites, but it shouldnt be a problem for me, just some recoding, and changes will be done to suit the RMM needs. After the update to Roll, I'll try to start the RMM makeover (I can't guarantee if I will, Spring Break is almost over for me).

Things go better when you work on a character you like, so my advice here is to make any other of your favorite Robot Masters.In that case I would love to see all the MM1 characters made for this game so Gutsman would need to be made and if not then move to the next game. Quint Was going to be the cause of the tie in. Too bad nothing else was made for Quint to my knowledge.
Sigma was made by Chaotic and someone was going to make him that sprite but he disappeared long ago and never did anything else.

I agree with this statement. Do not spread your self to thin. This is my worst problem. It takes me forever to finish anything because I am working on 3 or 4 characters at one time. When I completed Wolvenom, I focused specifically on him. Some people can work on 10 things at once. I am not one of them.Yeah but like Rage said it get's pretty boring and I'd like to help him. Just an experiment to see how hard Quint would be as a forum WIP. This sprite could use a little cleaning up, but basically the only part that's NOT exactly megaman is the head, and even so once a few heads are done it's just a matter of copy and pasting them (with minor adjustments).

Hmm.. updated the splash pic on the wiki. Added Manic's Skullman and updated it with Mew's Bombman. The other Bombman sprite was my own, based on the screencap below, which is why he looked "fat."u def shouldve kept it the way it was, it looked great

...Uhmm that sucks because my Tenguman voices are all japanese... hopefully it's not too much of a problem. I personally prefer the Jap voices over engish because it always sounds more intense then the softer english voices.

If all we have is japanese, then we will use japanese. All I have for Snakeman at the moment is a japanese voice.
I think the US MM8 game (and again i think) has english voices but the ones im using were donated while i started the original development. If anyone has or can rip english voices for Tenguman for the project, it would be appreiated.

Normally I would save this space but something has happened today that needs to be addressed. It would seem that Capcom is finished with MegaMan. First we get the cancellation of MegaMan Universe. Next, a drought of information about Rockman Online, the Korean developed MMO, which pretty much cuts our chances of a State-side release. Today, the nail in the coffin is delivered.
Continue to support the franchise? Support what, they killed anything development MegaMan related. We were on the verge of celebrating 25 years and then this. Their won't BE any franchise to support.
They've been failing to meet the expectations of the fans for years now. They've shown fully now that they can't do MegaMan justice, so it's all on us. Time to show Capcom just what we fans can do.
Speaking of fan made projects, since Capcom dropped Mega Man Universe and Mega Man Legends 3 I guess this is all we'll have left in the near future.

MM4: Skull Man and Toad man are being done. Pharaoh Man was stopped.
MM5: Crystal Man and Dark Man are being done. Star Man was stopped.
MM6: Plant Man and Centaur Man were stopped. If I recall correctly, Laspach had authorization to include Knight Man.
MM7: Burst Man is being done. Shade Man was stopped.

1) At least we didn't cancel it... like Mega Man UniverseCapucom jabs aside (and agreed with), Acey's right on the money. Despite it being slow, it's still coming together. If you really are that angsty for a Megaman fighting game, go get a ROM of Power Battle or Power Fighters.
2) Or ask for massive community support then cancel it, like Mega Man Legends 3
3) Or make Zero for it and repackage it as a Mega Man
3) Or turn it into a fat guy exclusive to the PS3

Isn't Airman around his size [in the Megaman games]?
:thumbsup: A slight bit, but Guts Man is still bigger. Probably the only Masters that match up to him (Excluding Doc Robot, Punk, Ballade, etc...) is Stone Man from Mega Man 5 and Concrete Man from Mega Man 9. And even then, they still resemble, and bear traits similar to, Guts Man, making Guts Man, and maybe Cut Man (Ruby Spears. Oi...) the most famous Robot Masters.

And I've admittedly never coded, because I've never had a character to work on (No good at spriting, etc.). But I'd really like to help somehow. Yes, I hold Protoman near and dear to me since he is my first official full release. I really need to polish his coding to fit the RMM standard then later he will get new attacks.Cool.
