Here he is over 2 years in the making!    Airman!  For the Robot Master Mayhem Project.

Congrats on the release. He came out awesome with a perfect design. ::salute::

I so wish someone would take up Needle Man now, aside from what I know is already being worked on or has been released, he's the only real other I care to see made now.

I love this character. The sprites are great, the moves have a good variety while staying faithful to the character, and he's just fun to play. I haven't found any bugs yet. Great job to all involved.  :thumbsup:

Yellow Devil is going to by our Sub-Boss, he will have a cheap / tough AI.

Great diversity now, no more Mega clones will be accepted. Nice work, MUGEN is getting a real chance of having a full and true Megaman game.

Seriously though, DLing and keeping in my roster.

Edit:
QCF+PP and QCB+KK supers give power back
And, while they fit the character, the amount of projectile specials seem a bit redundant

Awesome to see that Airman is finally released. Been so long since I played M.U.G.E.N, makes me want to go back to playing it again. DCL really did a great job on coding him and you for Airman's sprites. Thanks for the release and hope to see Snakeman or Toadman play like this. :thumbsup:

Nice catch we will have to fix the super meter for those two hypers.  I like all the tornados it gives variety to how you attack the opponent.  :)

I'd think that QCF and QCB K should have different speeds/strengths. They're a bit too similar at this point.

Airman have some nice things here and there, but overall it needs to be worked more. There are many things that gives me a "loose" feeling when I play with it.

To avoid people jumping at my neck saying that I'm bashing you (something that isn't my intention), I will send a pm to you with my feedback.

But there are somethings you could really improve, like the effects.

The hyper bg fx is 50 frames long? And the hyper combo finish effect is...100 frames long?
wow, That is just too much, this is why the sff is so big.

I think you can cut a lot of things from him, to make it easier and lighter. Just imagine 4 airman fighting...how much RAM this will require?

No prob sent by PM.  I'm happy to hear all feedback.  Things can be updated and changed for a second release.  I have feedback at the guild too.  Everything hat will be taken into account but I'm not going to worry about everything.  Yea the sff size needs to be optimized too.
After airman was a wip for so long it was long overdue for a release.

Great character. Very smooth animation and the moveset is very well done. I honestly felt like the professionalism of capcom was done. Also thanks for contriuting to the community and th RMM project.

i been waiting for this guy for a while and trust me he definetly worth the wait. tried him out and i liked him. if ya do plan any updates i am surely gettin them, but he is a good character. fights good against my other MM characters i have.  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Yeah, I know that. O. Gill  is a perfect example of that: he gives many feedbacks with many things, and I never took it personally, I always fixed every mentioned bug. The problem here is:

- Some creators simply ignore some reports
- some creators just can't stand feedbacks, even if they are landed on the same way that Gill does.

But its life. I don't want to enter on that issue because it *could* bring some past issues that I don't want to talk about.  :-$

Back to the topic, lets go to the feedback:

- most of edits are weak edits of the main sprite (which is a nice sprite). When I say weak I can't find the proper word to say. Basically, its that same 2 old problem with most editors:

1) You can't edit the sprite moving just one part of the body, because its weird. Airman have a lot of this kind of edits.
2) You need to see if the transition anim from the stand to the attack and back to the stand is fluid. A lot of editors forgets to do this.

Using the video as a base:

- He drops in a chunky anim from the Tornado at its intro (0:15)
- The hyper bg anim is heavy (50 frames is too much) (0:45)
- The block anim is basically the same of the standing (0:49) ...
- ...and we can see the same body position at 0:51

And this repeats over and over...

-Look at the size of his body. He can't shrink like this 0:56
- The hyper finish bg has 100 frames! This makes the sff very heavy. You can almost get the same effect with few sprites.

- He has a lot of repeated moves. he shoots small tornados in many ways, but they are all almost identical.
- The kick at 1:12 is weird. The puch wich follows, too.

- This move is totally cheap:

because he gets almost invencible with those 2 big tornados. And the cooldown is just too quick.

The idea is good, but this char don't excites me too much, by everything mentioned above.

I hope you understand that I`m not bashing you, I'm just leaving my feedback. My intention is not to bash anyone, its to point errors, so anyone with the same errors can fix it.
Everyone knows that I always speaks directly, and sometimes people misunderstood my words.

So, I will wait until you fixe the template to start Yellow Devil.

Just one more thing, I don't know if it's been mentioned:

- Tornadoes from DP+P are unblockable.
- Many sprites are uncropped and have huge zero color areas.

I'm just happy to have been the voice for Airman, even if it took me months to finish the voice acting due to finding a job and a college. I'm glad to see Airman released. Good Show!  :thumbsup:

I like the 2 big tornados special so it's not going to get removed, but maybe we can make it go off quicker to make it more fair..
I would just like to say remember, besides for some recent sprite edits for some things airman needed I finished spriting Airman over two years ago, he was my 3rd character and just never got coded and released.  (I'm working on my 10th character now)  There are some sprites I would like to update in the future for more movement, and a couple things I just wanted to draw better.  Some of the sprite I purposely made move clunky/weird since Airman has such a bigger upper body.  It's on my list to do after Woodman.   ;D
