My main Fighter - Iron Man. Since he's one of the more versetile combat characters to use.
Cyclops or Cable - There is the need for the Projectile/Beam Whore xD.
Commando - Yep... his anti Air assist is good. and does lots of damage too.

I love this game!! But a lot of people get mad as they get caught in an infinite and accuses the victor of cheesin'. Just gotta remember, this game was never meant to be fair.My squad that I use is called the career killers. Juggy, spidey, and cap'n is my squad. Spiderman's air throw can neutralize a lot of cheezy puffs out there like guile and charlie. But unfortunately he can't pick them up off the floor and start an air combo or super like those two. Juggernaught is just my wrecking machine. I made a lot of people fear him in china town!! Captain leads the strike with his anti air attacks with mr parker being a constant pest with projectile type!! I also got the powers of pain squad that consists of zangief, juggy and hulk/colossus/sentinal. I beat a guy in 20 seconds with that team.

when i play mvc2 really seriously like if it was my last day on earth. i only lost twice. by a asain guy and this 50 yr old black guy and they both used that same team. it was the type of thing where they kept on getting me on air combos w/ storm and magneto and with setinal they kept on assisting where i literally didnt touch the ground and they kept on doing the same moves over and over.

also the team of iron man with that mummy from darkstalkers are tough, i dont know why tho...

i like watching the match servbot vs juggernaut...thats always funny
