Yes, It's supposedly better than HD but just like the comparison between 360 and PS3 graphics, it's unnoticeable.

I could have bought a Ps3 but instead I uprgaded and got another PC for $2000

PS3 is $600

I can afford it,I just don't want one,my house doesn't need another dust collector.

no it better than dvd. if you have ever watched a movie in hd the difference is phenomenal even between 420p and 720p. now imagine 1080p. and the 360 hardware is crap. the failure rate is at about 33 percent or higher.

Well it may fail but it was more fun than the PS3 while it lasted.

Yeah, although Bungie screwed over MS when they made Halo 3 and decided to add the scripting in story mode as a part of the games ost. SO when you play your music, there's a slight chance you don't know wtf you're going to be doing.
Thank god it hasn't handicapped multiplayer though.

i have about six games for my 60GB ps3.

here is a thing.

internet play is free because the ps3 act as servers.

you can play warhawk with 32 players on one game, and depending on your connection no lag at all.

remember little kids you need broadband to play online.

i don't hate ps3 i'm a tekken man so i would get it eventually BUT ps3 is not recommended right now CUS
1- in terms of next gen graphics.. most recent game still look better on 360 so i don't see any impressive looking games on ps3 or impressive performance from the ps3

even mgs4 frame rate is choppy now wtf is this next gen cell cbu sh*t they talk about all the time? mgs4 hands on demo looked nothing like the first trailer.
i mean i have to play mgs4 but still i was disappointed big time.
i even read what crytek said about crysis not being possible on both ps3 or x360

2-$600 is too expensive for a ps3 from my point of view --> specially when it don't meet expectations besides i read the specifications and the gpu is almost a tuned up gforce 7800gt .. even if i have the money to buy i wont buy it right now .. at least not yet.

3-most games are multi platform including dmc4 and my guess mgs4 substances as well who knows

4-most exclusive ps3 and important ps3 games are not even out yet so why bother getting one now.
also with all firmware fixes to play some games i'm not sure i can trust ps3 right now.

3-blue ray is overrated and over sized dummy dvd9 file

also who know sony mighet release a slim lin version of ps3 that can play games this old version wont be able to play

...i mean it makes sense the blue ray is a new tech
plus i know most of you guys experienced a laser lens malfunction with ps2 or ps1 now Imagen something like that with a blue ray lens

really i don't think this is the best time to get a ps3.

i got my 60GB for $500.

used to be $600.

the online play is where XBOX gets it's money.

the reason online play is free with the ps3.

is because your ps3 acts as a server,
thus Sony does not need to make huge servers for online play.

which costs these big ones $$$

a little thing to know:

we will say you want to install linux on it?

well there is a option. you don't need to hack the ps3.

there is a option that says "Install Other OS"

once you got linux installed.
you can switch between the linux and the ps3.

. I just got my 5 blu ray movies from that PS3 gamestop special order form.
Uhh guys, how much in store credit would a blu ray disc of "The Gaurdian" be? I had to pick from these 5 categories and this one category was a lose-lose situation no matter what movie I picked.
btw the movies I picked were
Devil's Rejects
Corpse Bride
Kiss of the Dragon
Resident Evil : Apocalypse (It was either that or an even worse film)
