Bungie and Microsoft. DIVORCED!?!!? WTF?!?!

Yes its True Last week, Bungie stated they wanted to see new People and ARE now an independent company!!!

It started as a rumor in a Forum Last week but it has been Confirmed on Monday. This means that Bungie is NOT a Subsidiary of Microsoft anymore!! They are now a second-party developer.

Does this Mean We could see Halo on the PS3, Wii, Or even the N-gage? 

Is Microsoft Dead Without Bungie???

On October 1, 2007, a mere six days after the release of Halo 3, Microsoft and Bungie split, and Bungie became a privately-held Limited Liability Company named Bungie LLC.[3] As outlined in a deal between the two, Microsoft would retain a minority stake and continue to partner with Bungie on publishing and marketing both Halo and future projects, with the Halo IP belonging to Microsoft.

Although non-Halo projects in the future are unknown, Bungie has stated that Halo 3 is not the last Halo game they will make, and that they are currently working on an as-of-yet untitled Halo project with Peter Jackson of Wingnut Interactive.

Halo is made by Bungie, not Microsoft, Microsoft and Bungie just have a contract. And I'm guessing "divorced" means the contract is broken.

I DOUBT Halo will see another console. Remember that Microsoft still owns a minority of Bungie and MS could easily just buy a contract to have the next 2-3 Halo games for X-Box only. Does this mean PS3 games made by Bungie in the future....yea maybe, but I wouldn't hold my breath as I believe all the games would be Multiplat. Bungie can go TWO routes with this when it comes to making games for a new system, make a brand new series OR revive a series they started to work on call Marathon. Bungie IMO will still basically will make most of its games for MS IMO.

Now lookie what we have. A highly advanced version of Ninja Gaiden for the ps3.
People as you can see on G4 are calling Microsoft stupid because they need the contract.
Contracts in gaming companies mean everything.
Without them, exclusion doesn't exist.

Microsoft never owned Team Ninja or Tecmo, however they owned Bungie, and they still own Halo. MS isn't that stupid

Halo Wars is an RTS, it's what Bungie wanted to make with the first Halo game, but it eventurally evolved into a 3rd person shooter then a 1st person shooter. Now Microsoft wants the rts made, so they got a company to make the Halo rts dubbed "Halo Wars"

actually they didn't lose Halo, just look at the math. Halo Wars is being made, but Bungie has no hand in it, the guys who makes Age of Empires is developing it and Microsoft is publishing it, and Bungie isn't a part of Microsoft anymore. Microsoft still owns the Halo name
