Hey, I remember these, I played all the Adventure Island games to death on the NES back in the good old days.

These games were so good that even my dad used to play it a lot...i still remember him trying to get the right egg to reach the appropiate level in adventure island 2 and using some shortcuts for the 3rd

Back in 7th grade my friend gave me a GBA game that had tons of NES roms on it, one of which being Adventure Island.

I still have Stage 1's theme stuck in my head.
