3 Questions I have..
« on: June 26, 2012, 12:58:02 PM »
Well I just got back into Mugen again after some time, so I have to ask 3 Questions;

 1. For making a Screen Pack whats better to use now? Fighter Factory Classic or Ultimate?

 2. I made my Laptop into a ubuntu-linux. Does Mugen 1.0 work with it, or do I have to download an older mugen to get me some Mugen on the go?  :)

 3. If I make a character smaller how whould I go about making everything in the character smaller also, & in the same position of the character?

-- if there links to anything please direct me to them    :( & thank you for any/or all help you can give me

MUGEN 1.0 works perfectly with Ubuntu using Wine. I think it even runs better than the old WinMUGEN if you ask me. Any joysticks should work fine, too.

As for programming a screen pack, it is mostly in text form. Until someone makes a graphical way of creating screenpacks (not too likely) fighter factory can mostly just add the sprites and animations in, to my knowledge.

 ^^(PM)^

1) Fighter Factory 3 trumps both Classic and Ultimate.
2) love that linux, see above link.
3) Apparently you know that you can shrink a character by chaning their x and y size in the cns file. The next step it to track all of the type=explod that will also need to be resized and repositioned. Adding size code to the explodes is pretty easy but I would suggest using algebra to figure out a ratio to move the position of the explodes based on how much you resized the character.

Just download Wine from the Software Center, its faster than compiling it from the source and you can use it as soon as its done downloading.

If you are going to work with the newer sff format, use FF3, if you want to keep editing older characters i personally go with FFC. Using sffv1 in FF3 can cause some... oddities when compiling an sff file.
